My 3D historic park updates

Just wanted you to know that I have updated all of my 3d parks with the correct 2D settings (Ball locations, 2d pictures) and also made some minor updates/tweaks to some 3D parks (textures/advertisement fixes)

They can be downloaded here:

http://www.mediafire.com/folder/akd2ejkdtk4dx/Historic

Each park also has a .prk file which can be used to import the park's information in the game's edit ballpark screen (under the 'Actions" menu)

The import seems to work flawlessly provided that the park folders are placed in the game's ballarks/models folder.

I have logged an issue where it doesn't seem to import the diagram image correctly, but you can just load it manually.

I will periodically update these parks so check back often. I'll try to post more detail as I complete them in this thread.

Thanks to adion for his help with this project

I have have looked at all of the V1_4 historical parks to see if they all had night backgrounds and more than a few did not. I don't know what happened, I must have missed them. Anyway, this is the list of the ones I have fixed and uploaded. So, if you want any of these with night backgrounds and have already downloaded them, you will have to download these again. If you have any problems, please PM me.
Hopefully I can do a better job of keeping these things up to date in the future!

If you mean the download locations, here they are.
Silvam has updated some of these. So these should all be current.

If that is not what you are asking, I don't know what you mean by "set at".

It doesn't hurt to check them. You may want to tweak them anyway. The modern parks that came with OOTP19 are off pretty much. Everyone I checked I had to reset. No real biggie Don't forget to check the 3D coordinates, too. Not just the day & night locations.

I’ve pretty much updated every group of parks except the Fictional stadiums.

I will be doing that next.

Also. They have made it easier by only have to set the locations at the foul lines, LC, RC, CF, HP, 3L, and 5L and then hit the auto arrange option and it sets the rest up pretty good.

I made that request and it saves lots of time which is why I’m going back and making the updates

Hey, Silvam

I know you did a tutorial of the ballpark making process with screen capture pics, but have you ever thought about doing a video screen capture of the process?

I think if we could just see it unfold in motion, even in double time, it might help more people attempt to make them. I'd bet making ballparks is also a great way to learn 3D modeling in general...

Just a thought...

I'm sorry to ask this it's only because I've only done it once But can you give me a step-by-step and how to install the stadiums?

I think about this all the time, but I’ve never made a video tutorial before and parks take quite a bit of time to complete, not to mention a lot of using the “undo” button.

I generally don’t have the time or the peace and quiet in my house (I have a 13 month old daughter) to be able to put a quality video together.

I was thinking about maybe creating a new thread with pictures posted directly to the site so I don’t have that stupid photobucket issue again.

We will see

This is what I do.

1. Download the .rar file of a stadium
2. Open it using winrar (or whatever program you use)
3. Drag the entire folder into your “/ballparks/models” folder
4. In the game, go to park editor
5 find the stadium of the team you want to change.
6 under the “Actions” menu, select “Manually import park from a file”
7 navigate to the park folder in /ballparks/models
8 select the .prk file

That should do it

With ya on that one brother.

Wish there was a way I could help you with the video because that stuff is right up my alley.

(13 mos old - I can’t help ya with that one. I can only sympathize.)

can't find the folder in my Steam Apps, what am I missing? Thanks

That should do it about this one?

I don't see the ballparks/model folder?

Hold on, when I go to steam apps, all the ballpark files are in winrar? Actually, all the fileses are in winrar? Interesting.

You need to unzip the winrar folders into the models folder. I think you should download the historical parks from Silvam's link below. He has updated all of them and I don't know if the ones in steam are up to date. If you download one at a time you can just unzip that park folder into the models folder. If you do a batch download then you will have to unzip the batch to your desktop or some temp folder then unzip each one to the models folder. Here is the link: http://www.mediafire.com/folder/akd2ejkdtk4dx/Historic

Updated atlanta fulton country stadium (both versions) with roof, CF lights, and some extra ads hanging from the roof.

Also replaced the empty seats with a new texture adding steps between sections breaking up to continuous seats look.

download them here:
