Dominican Summer League

I noticed this while looking at the other league... Is there really any different from that league and PIO or GCL besides location country wise?

It's setup so the AI wants to send non American players there as irl and the .PCM's are a bit lower than the US rookie leagues so it's best for really young guys signed as int fa's who aren't quite developed enough to play in the Pioneer or GCL.

Overall though it's not that much different than the US R leagues.

The idea is to have them on the DSL team. The younger ones, those who are 16-17 should stay in the complex. The DSL is considered a promotion from the complex.

OOTP should be edited so that the DSL isn't the "Lowest" level of minors. This causes problems with where players are placed by default after a draft/ minor league signing/ trade. Before, it placed them at the lowest rookie team, usually AZL/GCL.

Just a little weird in my opinion that some AI teams have their first round pick from Texas heading to the Dominican for his pro debut?

Just a thought though lol

That shouldn't be happening. The DSL is only supposed to take American or draft eligible players if it doesn't have enough undrafted guys from other countries to fill the rosters.

When they end up in the DSL, do those guys stay there for long or get re-assigned quickly?
