Request Illinois Baseball League Schedule

What i would like is 4-5 games per week with any interleague happening only on fr-sun. 80-110 games 12 teams 2 subleague with an ASG. Any chance for ASG to happen after regular season? Apr 15th to May 1st start date ending no later then 1st week of September.

I am not sure about this and not in a position to be able to test right now. Does anyone know if/how that would work? Like a case of season ending on a weekend and defining the All-Star Game for the following Tuesday.

If it does not work right (like the playoffs get scheduled on top of the ASG), I might suggest putting it early in the next to last week as opposed to the very last.

Thinking on it a bit, even if it works, it seems risky considering there may be tiebreaker games.

If its close to the end of the season that would work too.

Let me know what you think of this. It is on the short side, but the 84 games worked out well to give very balanced numbers of games and keep an average of about 4.5 games per week.

There is room in your timeframe to add another week, and that could be done adding an extra series against each of two teams in the division. That would be another 4-6 games.

Another option instead or in addition to that is adding one or even two more games against interleague opponents - making at least some of the 2-game series into 3-game series. That could add really any (even) number of games from 2 to 12. The more cases of adding that third game to the interleague series, the more 5-game and even 6-game weeks there will be. Right now there is fairly even split of 4-game weeks and 5-game weeks with a few 6-game weeks.
Code:

# 12 team schedule, 84 games
# Designed for the following configuration:
# 2 subleagues, each with 1 division with 6 teams
#
#
# 12 games against 5 other teams in division (6H/6A)
# 4 games against 6 teams in other subleague (2H/2A)
#
#
# Subleague schedules are mirror images of each other
#
# All games are in 2-game and 3-game series
# Two series per week for total of 4, 5, or rarely 6 games
# Every team always off Monday
# Other possible offdays each week are Tue, Thu, Fri
#
# All interleague games are played in 2-game series on weekends
# About 2/3rds of weekends feature interleague games
#
# Up to 10 games in row may be played home or away
#
# Teams play 9-10 weekend series at home
#
# All game times set at 7:05pm
#
# Teams play no more than one game per day
#
# Season begins first Tuesday on or after April 20
# Season ends first Sunday on or after August 29
# Season spans 132 days
#
# All-Star Game set for Wednesday of next to last week of season (day num 121)

Seems either the ASG did not come in or i have some setting wrong. Also any chance for the ASG to be the last weekend? I'm trying to create more of a beer league where the financials and modifiers are set to 1920.

You need to uncheck the "automatically schedule all-star game" box.

What exactly do you mean by that?

I found this old link about trying to have it after the last regular season games. I would guess that still applies today in that there would not be a shift in the playoffs to accommodate the ASG. Maybe if there are no playoffs it works okay, but maybe if there are no playoffs the game moves on from the season and neglects the ASG even if scheduled?

Not sure when I might be able, but I would be interested in further experimenting with that.

You could still schedule a series after it but It would be nice to have it on a weekend. For now I'm good. I'll play this schedule for the 1st season and see how it plays out.

I had more ambition for this, but I only did some juggling of the last handful of series. Getting these up before I am away on vacation for a while. The original has:
  • next to last week: ASG, interleague
  • last week: division, division

The "2" version here simply flips the next to last week to put the ASG on Saturday. But then I realized that broke the rule of all interleague being on the weekend.

So the "3" version here takes the original and reorders:
  • next to last week: division, ASG
  • last week: division, interleague
