September 1890 Update

American League News: Louisville Colonels have clawed their way back into contention. Colonels have reeled off 6 straight wins to be just 2 games behind St Louis. Rochester has
faded back to 5th pace at 4.5 games back. Syracuse had a rough month. The Stars were first they were swept by Rochester, but did hold our own against St Louis and Louisville. We are
without some aces, Ed Delahanty and Chippy McGarr, as well as Cy Young.

National League News: New York Giants are on a major roll and have probably sewn up the title, 12 straight wins to take a 7.5 game lead over Pittsburgh. Boston has fallen off the
standings into third place, 8 games back with their 8-15 performance during the month. The trio of James Burke, Will Sawyer, and Harry Salisbury have helped the Giants to zoom
to the top spot, all were 18-6 during the month, with Sawyer undefeated and the Pitcher of the Month award.

Minor League Update

Southern Association

Nashville looks to have the title sewn up in the inaugural season of this league.

Eastern League

The Jersey Skeeters are looking to be dethroned

New England League

May 16th 1891 Update

American League News: Boston has the early season lead over Baltimore and Columbus. What a year makes in the eyes of a young pitcher. Last year Cy Young went down with a
season ended injury at the end of June, he was just 6-1 at that time, now he leads the AL with his 6-1 record. Milwaukee is on a tailspin of 7 straight losses.

National League News: So far it is a tight race as Cincinnati leads the NL along side Pittsburgh. Last years' Champion, New York is not far behind at a game out with Chicago at their
side. Jimmy Ryan (Boston Beaneaters .412) and Dan Brouthers (Chicago Colts .409) are the early .400 hitters.

June 26th 1891 Update

American League News: The Baltimore Orioles are still on top of the AL. They lead Boston by 3.5 games. Last place Brewers have came to life while the St Louis Browns are on a skid,

August 1891 Update

American League News: It looks to be the Baltimore Orioles show, Orioles went 13-8 in July and are now in the midst of a seven game winning streak. Washington's George Davis
was named the Rookie of the month for July, hitting .333 and driving 12 runs.

National League News: The Boston Beaneaters are hot, so hot that they advance a spot in the standings thanks for their current 8 game winning streak. There was team hotter than
the Beaneaters, the Colts of Chicago. Currently the leader in the NL Standings. The Giants have fallen on a second straight month of sub par performance.

American League News: The Baltimore Orioles continue to hold the top spot. Their lead has increased by a few games. About 35 games remain. And chances are we will see a great

Rookie of the Month (.333, 19 RBIs)

National League News: The Chicago Colt have distance themselves from the rest of the pack. Boston has sort of tried to keep up the pace. Last years' Champs have floundered the
past three months. New York has struggled with their pitching staff. Harry Salisbury is only 16-17. Harry went 25-20 last season.

For some reason I did not get an intelligent Preseason Prediction report.
June 13th 1892 Update
Baltimore has started to pick up steam in the AL. Orioles were 17-9 in May. Over in the NL the Colts are at the top again. 3 time World Series Champs, the New York Giants
are floundering in 7th place. Meanwhile the Washington Senators are trying to stay with the pace. Washington has 5 hitters batting over .300. Pitcher John Clarkson (8-3, 3.72 era)
is trying to bounce back from a dismal 1891 season where he went 2-8. Mike Tiernan has already hit 8 HR this season. Tiernan hit 10 HR all of last season.
