We are in Atlanta and the Braves are pitching Duane Ward (0-0, 2.79).

The Giants have got Dennis Eckersley (16-9, 2.28).

I am 0 for 5 vs Ward.

I kicked off the game by grounding out back to Ward.
We got a couple before the Braves came to bat, though. Mike Aldrete scored on a Rob Deer single. Later Rob scored on a Steve Stanicek single.

Giants lead 2-0.

I came up with two out in the 2nd and flew out to Milt Thompson in centre.

I got the last out of the inning, grabbing an Ozzie Virgil grounder.

We got two more int he 3rd. First Aldrete hit a lead off homer. Later Chili Davis scored on a Stanicek sac fly.

Giants lead 4-0.

I came up with one out in the 4th and managed a walk. I scored on an Aldrete double.

Giants lead 5-0.

I got the 2nd out on the Braves that inning, off a Milt Thompson grounder.

I came up with two out in the 5th. Kenny Oberkfell stood on 3rd and Bob Brenly was on 2nd. Rick Siebert was pitching. I worked a walk to load the bags. Siebert then walked Aldrete, pushing a run across. He got out of it after that.

Giants lead 6-0.

Randy Morse took over pitching for us in the 7th.

I led off the 8th by striking out.
I had called time before the pitch. Screwed by the umpire.
We did get two more that inning when Chili launched one with a man on.

Giants lead 8-0.

The Braves broke the shut out in the 9th when Andres Galarraga homered.

It ended 8-1.

Good day for us but I went hitless. A couple of walks and a run scored.

Today the Giants are going with Bruce Ruffin (14-7, 3.17).

The Braves have a guy named Len Damian (2-0, 2.93).

Damian is a new guy. This is only his 2nd start.

I led off the game by grounding out to Ron Oester at 2nd.

I came up in the 3rd with one out and Ruffin on 1st. I hit into a fielder's choice. Stolen base #127. Steve Stanicek singled and I scored.

Giants lead 1-0.

The Braves signed it up in the bottom half when Milt Thompson tripled and scored on an Oester single.

Game tied 1-1.

They got a couple fo baserunners on the 4th but I got a Damian grounder for the last out.

I led off the 5th by eating a screwball. I then ran into a pitch out to get caught stealing.

I made the last out of the inning, taking an Oester grounder.

Pat Perry took over after the Braves got two on in the 6th. Things immediately went bad went Claudell Washington smacked a three run homer. It got worse when Gary Sheffield hit a two run smash.

Braves lead 6-1.

I led off the 7th by lining out to Andrew Galarraga at 1st. We got one back when Rob Deer singled Stanicek home.

Braves lead 6-2.

Frank Williams relieved for us that inning.
He did... poorly. He walked Washington with the bases loaded and none out. Ron Cey scored on a Gerald Perry sac fly. Ozzie Virgil scored on a Jeff Blauser pinch hit ground out. Washington scored on a Brad Komminsk pinch hit single.

Braves lead 10-2.

I was lifted for a pinch hitter in the 8th.

The score never changed.

I went 0 for 3 with a run scored.

Today the Giants are pitching Eric Show (10-14, 3.34).

The Braves have Pascual Perez (6-12, 3.75).

I have gone 3 for 16 against Perez.

I led off this afternoon game by putting one into centre field for a single. Stolen base #128. With one out, stolen base #129. I scored on a Chili Davis sac fly.

Giants lead 1-0.

The Braves got two hit before I made the first out, off a Ron Oester grounder. Gary Sheffield scored on the play. With two out Milt Thompson scored on a Ron Cey double. I caught a Claudell Washington pop up to end it.

Braves lead 2-1.

I got a Sheffield grounder for the 2nd out - a fielder's choice, in the 2nd.

I led off the 3rd by grounding out to Oester at 2nd.

I got a Andres Galarraga grounder for the 2nd out in the bottom half.

In the 4th Robby Thompson smacked a solo shot to tie things up.

Game tied 2-2.

I got the 2nd out in they half, off a Joel Youngblood grounder.

I led off the 5th by striking out.

In the 6th I got the 2nd out again - this time off a Cey grounder. The Braves got the lead back when Galarraga scored on aYoungblood single.

Braves lead 3-2.

Jeff Robinson relieved for us in the 7th.

I led off the 8th, now facing Ken Dayley. I grounded out to Sheffield at short.

I got the 2nd out off a Galarraga grounder.

In the 9th, game on the line, Rob Deer launched a solo homer to tie it up!

Game tied 3-3.

Scott Garrelts took over pitching, trying to send us to extras.
Things got tough and the Braves had the base loaded but I handled a Milt Thompson grounder to send us to the 10th.

I came up with out out and Bob Brenly on 1st. Brian Fisher was brought in to face me. I hit one into the right field corner, moving Bob to 3rd on my double. Mike Aldrete flew out to centre and Bob... was thrown out trying to score.

Mark Davis came in to pitch for us, he got it down,s ending us to the 11th.

And what an inning it was! Chili Davis and Robby Thompson scored on a Kenny Oberkfell double!

Giants lead 5-3.

Pat Perry came in to close it down. Three outs later, we had the game.

I went 2 for 5 with a single, a double, a run scored, and two stolen bases.

We are heading to Cincinnati.

We are in Cincinnati to face one of the two teams ahead of us in the standings.

The Reds are pitching Blaine Beatty (5-5, 4.92).

The Giants have Willie Fraser (16-7, 3.71).

I am 0 for 6 vs Beatty.

I kicked things off by striking out.

The Reds struck early as Eric Davis hit a 1st inning, two run single, scoring Al Newman and Will Clark. With two out Kurt Stillwell duplicated that feat, scoring Davis and Ryne Sandberg. Then Stillwell scored on a Charlie Moore single.

1st inning disaster.

Reds lead 5-0.

I came up in the 3rd with two out and Kenny Oberkfell on 3rd. I struck out again.

I made my first defensive play, grabbing a Sandberg grounder for the 1st out in the home half.

In the 4th I got the 2nd out, taking a Dwight Evans grounder. Later that frame Al Newman scored when Chili Davis dropped a very catchable fly for an error. I caught an Eric Davis pop for the final out.

Reds lead 6-0.

They struck again in the 5th when Stillwell blasted a solo shot.

Reds lead 7-0.

I led off the 6th by flying out to Evans in right.

Randy Morse relieved for us in the 6th.

In the 7th pinch hitter Glen Franklin smacked a two run homer.

I came up with one out in the 8th and flew out to Al Cowens in right.

We managed to scratch across a couple of runs in the 9th and I got another futile at bat but we still lost 9-2.

I went 0 for 5.

Ugly game, all-around.

Today the Giants are pitching John Burkett (1-1, 3.38).

The Reds are using Tom Browning (19-9, 3.55).

I have gone 5 for 14 against Browning.

I led off the game against the lefty by striking out.

Once again the Reds struck early as Al Newman collected a lead off walk, stole 2nd, and scored on a Dwight Evans single. With two out Evans scored on a Kal Daniels single.

Reds lead 2-0.

In the 2nd Tim McIntosh doubled and scored on a Newman double. Then Evans doubled to score Newman again. I grabbed an Eric Davis grounder to end the inning.

Reds lead 4-0.

I came up with two out in the 3rd and grounded out to Newman at 3rd.

We finally got one back in the 4th when Chili Davis smacked a solo bomb.

Reds lead 4-1.

In the bottom half I took an Evans grounder to end the inning.

In the 5th Will Clark scored on a Daniels single. Daniels later scored on a McIntosh single. I took a Browning grounder to end it.

Reds lead 6-1.

I led off the 6th by singling through the left side. Stolen base #130 on a failed hit & run. I scored on a Chili single. Rob Deer doubled and Steve Stanicek walloped a three-run dinger. Robby Thompson singled, Kenny Oberkfell walked, and John Rabb ALSO hit a three-run homer! I came up again with two out - now facing Ted Power - and hit a triple! Chili struck out and I was left.

Giants lead 8-6!

Curt Brown came in to pitch for us. I got the 2nd out for him off an Evans grounder.

In the 7th Davis scored on a Daniels triple. I took care of a Kurt Stillwell grounder to hold Daniels. McIntosh doubled to tie the game. Nick Esasky pinch hit an RBI double.
Mark Davis took over pitching duties for us.

Reds lead 9-8.

I came up with one out in the 8th and Rabb standing on 1st. Donnie Moore was pitching. I hit into a fielder's choice. I was thrown out trying to steal 2nd.
It was bad call. I was safe.

Jeff Robinson took over on the mound for us.
Evans scored on a Ryne Sandberg sac fly. Clark scored on a Stillwell single.

Reds lead 11-8.

We weren't able to come back a 2nd time.

Another tough loss. This time I did pretty well though, going 2 for 5 with a single, a triple, a run scored, a stolen base and a caught stealing.

We are on to Houston.

11 games left. We haven't been officially eliminated but have no chance, realistically.

We are in Houston, in that big dome.

The Astros are pitching Mike Scott (19-7, 2.30).

The Giants are going with Dennis Eckersley (17-9, 2.21).

Pretty impressive match-up.

I have done pretty well against Scott, going 6 for 20 - .300.

Today I led off the game by grounding out to Bill Doran at 2nd.

In the bottom half I caught a Jerry Mumphrey pop for the 2nd out. I then grabbed a Harold Baines grounder for the 3rd.

I caught a Doug DeCinces pop for the 1st out in the 2nd. I then took a Wes Clements grounder for the 2nd.

I came up with one out in the 3rd and Bob Brenly standing on 2nd. I grounded out to Dickie Thon at short.

I handled a Mumpjhrey grounder for the 1st out in the 4th. I took a Baines grounder for the 3rd.

In the 5th I came up with Brenly on 2nd and two out. I grounded out to DeCinces at 3rd.

I returned the favour for the 1st out int he bottom half.

I came up in the 8th and with one out, Scott was lifted to bring in Frank DiPino to face me. The game was still 0-0. DiPino hit me with a 1-0 fastball. Stolen base #131.
They gave me the base to commemorate the most stolen bases in a season.
Stolen base #132 followed. I am unable to score.

I had a DeCinces grounder in my glove for the 1st out in the home half but inexplicably, I dropped it! Error! I almost bailed us out with a good play for the 3rd out, but Robby Thompson dropped my throw and Clements scored!

Astros lead 1-0.

Robby and I owe Eck big time if that is the decider.

And it was. We were unable to score in the 9th.

We blew that one. Hard.

Today the Giants are going with Bruce Ruffin (14-8, 3.22).

The Astros have Derek Livernois (1-1, 3.57).

This is a new guy. Only four game and two starts in the bigs. He is also only 19.

Which is kind of funny coming from me. I am still 18.

Anyway, I greet him by striking out.

I next led off the 3rd by working a walk. I was then gunned down by Ron Hassey while trying to steal. Thankfully Mike Aldrete doubled and scored on a Rob Deer double.

Giants lead 1-0.

I came up with one out in the 5th and took another four pitch walk. This time I got stolen base #133 AND #134. I scored on an Aldrete double. Mike later scored on a wild pitch.

Giants lead 3-0.

In the top of the 6th, facing Joe Niekro, I flew out for the 3rd out with the bases loaded.

I saved a run in the 6th with a nice play on a Dickie Thon grounder for the last out.

I led off the 9th, now facing Mark Knudson, by grounding out to Doug DeCinces at 3rd.

Scott Garrelts took over for Bruce with one out in the 9th. Bruce had a two hitter going! Why pull him?
Scott gave up a double but then got the last two outs, including a Glenn Davis grounder that I took care of to end it.

We won, 3-0.

I went 0 for 3 with two walks, a run scored, two stolen bases, a caught stealing, and a failed bases loaded opportunity.

We are heading back to San Francisco to face the Dodgers. We only have nine games left and sea re technically not out, but we can't afford to lose to the Dodgers even once.

Back home to face the Dodgers. Let's see if we can hold off on being eliminated.

It will be tough as the Dodgers are pitching Fernando Valenzuela (20-5, 1.91).

The Giants have Eric Show (10-14, 3.38).

I am a mere 1 for 26 vs Fernando.

I led off our half of the game by grounding out to Darrell Evans at 1st.

Evans then kicked off the scoring by singling home Tim Wallach from 2nd IN the 2nd.

Dodgers lead 1-0.

I came up with one out in the 3rd and Lee Mazzilli on 2nd. I grounded out to Evans again, moving Lee up a bag. He was stranded.

I made my first defensive play in the 4th, grabbing a Mookie Wilson grounder for the final out.

We got on the board in the bottom half when Chili Davis scored on a Bob Brenly fielder's choice. Later Bob scored on a single by Kenny Oberkfell.

Giants lead 2-1.

I got the 1st out in the 5th, taking a Fernando grounder.

I led off the bottom half by striking out.

In the 6th John Rabb pinch ran for Bob Brenly and scored on a Kenny O single. I came up with two on and two out and struck out again.

Giants lead 3-1.

That was the good news. The bad news was that Rabb pinch ran because Bob had to be taken from the game after legging out his hit. I don't know how bad it is.

Scott Garrelts came in for Eric in the 8th with one out and one on. Right when it looked like he was going to get out of it Robby Thompson threw away the third out, allowing Mike Marshall to score.

Giants lead 3-2.

In the 9th Steve Sax singled home pinch hitter RJ Reynolds with two out to tie the game. Sax scored on a Marshall single to take the lead.

Dodgers lead 4-3.

I led off the bottom of the 9th, now facing Tom Niedenfuer. I walked. Stolen base #135, despite running against a pitch out. I went to 3rd on a Tom O'Malley groundout. I was unable to score and we dropped the game, and were officially eliminated from playoff contention.

I went 0 for 4 with a walk and a stolen base.

On the day we were eliminated, Bob Brenly tore his hamstring. That's a tough end to the season for Bob.

Today is our first post-elimination and post-Brenly game. The Dodgers are pitching Bob Welch (14-10, 2.52).

The Giants have Willie Fraser (16-8, 3.92).

I have gone 1 for 5 against Welch.

I led off the home half of the game by flying out to Mike Marshall in right.

I made my first defensive play on the first batter on the 2nd, taking a Marshall grounder for the out. Sid Bream followed it with a solo homer. I then caught a Tim Wallach pop for the 2nd out.

Dodgers lead 1-0.

Benito Santiago led off the 3rd with another solo shot.

Dodgers lead 2-0.

I came up with two out in the 3rd and struck out.

In the 4th I grabbed a Bream grounder for the 2nd out.

I did the same to Mookie Wilson for the 1st out in the 5th.

I came up in the 6th with none out and Willie on 1st. I hit into a double play.

L.A. scored again int he 7th when Bream crossed on a Mookie single.

Dodgers lead 3-0.

Pat Perry relieved for us to start the 8th.

I came up in the 9th with none out and pinch hitter Ben Oglivie on 1st. Tom Neidenfuer came in to face me. He struck me out.

We were not able to score and lost 3-0.

I went 0 for 4, striking out twice.

Today the Dodgers are pitching Orel Hershiser. (17-8, 2.50).

The Giants are going with John Burkett (1-1, 5.40).

I have gone 2 for 21 vs Orel.

The Dodgers struck early when Mariano Duncan led off with a triple and scored on a Franklin Stubbs single. I got Stubbs for the first out on a Steve Sax fielder's choice. I got Mike Marshall's grounder for the 2nd out.

Dodgers lead 1-0.

I led off out half by taking a walk. I was erased on a Mike Aldrete fielder's choice.

In the 3rd Stubbs and Sid Bream scored on a Tim Wallach double.

Dodgers lead 3-0.

I came up with two out in the 3rd and struck out.

Things got even worse in the 4th when Marshall smashed a three run homer. Bream scored on a Mike Scioscia single and that was in for John. Randy Morse came in to pitch and got out of the inning.

Dodgers lead 7-0.

In the 6th I started a Priske - Thompson - Aldrete double play to get Chuck Lynn and Hershiser to end the inning.

I led off our half by putting one up the middle for our first hit of the game. Stolen base #136.

Every base I steal breaks the record for most in a season.

Stolen base #137 gets me to 3rd. I score on an Aldrete ground out.

Dodgers lead 7-1.

In the 7th Duncan scored on a Sax sac fly. Jon Debus hit a two run pinch hit homer.

Dodgers lead 10-1.

I was lifted for a pinch hitter in the 8th.

It never got better.

I went 1 for 2 with a single, a walk, a run scored, and two stolen bases.

We only ever got two hits.

Tomorrow is an off day and then the Astros come to town for our final home series.

The Astros are in town and pitching Mike Scott (19-7, 2.23).

The Giants are going with Dennis Eckersley (17-10, 2.13).

I have a lot of experience against Scott, hitting .261 in 23 at bats.

I led off the home half by striking out.

I got the 1st out in the 2nd off a Harold Baines grounder. With two out Houston opened the scoring with a solo homer by Ken Griffey.

Astros lead 1-0.

I came up with two out in the 3rd and grounded out right back to Scott.

In the 4th I started a nice Priske - Thompson - Aldrete double play to get Baines and Doug DeCinces.

Pat Perry came in for Eck in the 6th with one out and two men in scoring position. He got out of it on only three pitches.

I led off the bottom half by flying out to Baines in right.

I got the 1st out in the 7th, grabbing a tough liner by Brian Harper.

We got our first hit of the game in the 7th.

I came up with two out in the 8th and managed a walk. Stolen base #138. No more.

Scott Garrelts came in to pitch the 9th. I got the 2nd out for him, off a grounder by Harper. I did the same to pinch hitter Ron Hassey for the 3rd.

We lost 1-0.

I went 0 for 3 with a walk, a strikeout, and a stolen base.

The Dodgers clinched the division today.

Our penultimate home game and the Astro are pitching Bert Blyleven (14-11, 2.74).

The Giants have Bruce Ruffin (15-8, 3.09).

I have really struggled against Bert, going 1 for 21.

Speaking of struggling, Bruce walked the first three batters of the game. Bill Doran scored on a Harold Baines sac fly. Dickie Thon scored on a two out single by Brian Harper.

Astros lead 2-0.

I led off the home half by taking a walk. I moved to 2nd on a Mike Aldrete single. With one out we pulled off a double steal. For me it was #139. I scored on a Rob Deer sac fly. Mike scored on a Steve Stanicek single. Steve and Robby Thompson scored on a Kenny Oberkfell single!

Giants lead 4-2!

I got the 3rd out in the 2nd off a Doran grounder.

In the bottom half I came up with none out and Bruce on 1st. I struck out.

Thon led off the 3rd with a solo homer. I caught a Doug DeCinces pop for the 3rd out.

Giants lead 4-3.

I came up with one out in the 4th and legged out an infield single for my 2nd over hit against Bert. I moved to 2nd on an Aldrete single. We tried a double steal but Mike was thrown out at 2nd. That turned out to be bad because Chili Davis smashed a two run homer!

Giants lead 6-3!

I got the 1st out in the 5th, making a great play on a Thon grounder.

I then got the 1st out in the 6th off an easier grounder by DeCinces.

I came up with two out in the bottom half and grounded out to Thon at short.

Jeff Robinson took over for Bruce with one out and one on in the 7th.

I came up in the 8th with two out and the bases loaded. Joe Niekro was pitching and he walked me! Easy RBI! For the 3rd time this game Mike got a hit with me on. This time it was a double and all three of us scored!

Giants lead 10-3!

We had a couple fo defensive changes, getting Tom O'Malley in at 1st and call-up Jessie Reid in right.

Mike Perez took over on the mound. Three batters later, we had the win, breaking a four game losing streak.

I went 1 for 3 with a single, two walks, three runs scored, one RBI, and one stolen base.

The Yankees clinched the AL East today.

It is our final home game of the year and the Giants are pitching Eric Show (10-14, 3.30).

The Astros are going with Bryn Smith (8-11, 2.74).

Both these guys are much better than their record suggests.

I have gone 2 for 7 vs Smith.

I led off the bottom of the 1st by grounding out to Keith Hernandez at 1st.

I next came up with two out in the 3rd and I struck out.

In the 4th I caught a Doug DeCinces pop for the last out (right after Harold Baines singled for the first hit of the game).

I made a nice play on a Ken Griffey liner for the 1st out in the 5th.

The Astros scored first when Hernandez singled home Bill Doran with none out in the 6th. Then Jerry Mumphrey scored on a DeCinces sac fly. Hernandez scored on a Griffey double. Baines scored on a Dickie Thon sac fly after barrelling over Alan Cockrell at home. Welcome to the bigs, I guess.

Astros lead 4-0.

I led off the bottom half by striking out again.

With one out and one on in the 7th, Nestor went with Frank Williams on the mound. He wasn't able to stranded the runner as Jerry Mumphrey ended up scoring on a Baines single.

Astros lead 5-0.

I got the 3rd out in the 8th, grabbing a grounder from Wes Clements.

I came up with two out in the 8th and struck out for the 3rd straight time.

Mike Perez received to open the 9th.

We never managed a run. Not only did we get shut out in our final home game, we only managed one hit.

I went 0 for 4 with 3 strikeouts.

There are some exciting races for baseball fans. The Mariners and A's are tied atop the AL West with three games to play.

The Cardinals lead the Pirates by a half game in the NL East. Pittsburgh has an extra game, but the Cards get to play the Cubs for their final series... and they are not good.

We are in L.A. for our last series of the year. At least it is for us, as the Dodgers are heading to the post-season.

The Giants are pitching Willie Fraser (16-9, 3.92).

The Dodgers have Orel Hershiser (19-8, 2.45).

I have gone 3 for 23 vs Orel.

I kicked off the game by making that 4 for 24 as I singled up the middle. I then extended my record by stealing base #140. I was left there.

I made my first defensive play in the 2nd, grabbing a Mike Marshall grounder for the 1st out.

I came up with one out in the 3rd and I struck out.

I next came up with one out in the 6th and I popped up to Steve Sax at 2nd.

The Dodgers finally opened the scoring in the 7th as Sax scored on a Mike Scioscia sac fly. I got a Tim Wallach grounder after that to end the inning.

Dodgers lead 1-0.

I came up with two out in the 8th and lined out to Mookie Wilson in centre.

In the end we outhit the Dodgers 5-2, but they outscored us 1-0.

I went 1 for 4 with a single and a stolen base.

As the season winds down, I can't help but look forward to what changes are coming.

Baseball is a business, and a bunch of my teammates are not under contract for next year.

Kenny Oberkfell has been here from the start. Terry Harper has been up and down. Dan Driessen was just here on a one year deal.

Denny Walling, Ben Oglivie, Lee Mazzilli.

The penultimate game of the year.

The Dodgers are pitching Bob Welch (15-10, 2.42).

The Giants have John Burkett (1-2, 7.36).

I have gone 1 for 8 vs Welch.

I kick off this sunny afternoon in Chavez Ravine by striking out.

On the other side I got the 3rd out off a Steve Sax grounder.

I came up with two out in the 3rd and ate an inside pitch and was awarded 1st. Stolen base #141. I was left.

The Dodgers opened the scoring in the 4th when Franklin Stubbs crossed on a Mike Marshall ground ball. I caught a Sid Bream pop to end the inning.

Dodgers lead 1-0.

I came up in the 6th after Burkett led off with a double. That was his first big league hit. I tied the game with an RBI double! I went to 3rd on a 2nd out grounder but was left.

Game tied 1-1.

In the bottom half I made a nice play to snag a liner from Marshall for the 2nd out.

I came up with one out in the 8th, now facing Ken Howell. I grounded out to Mariano Duncan at short.

Johnny B got into some trouble that inning, including three stolen bases and a Marshall double that scored Stubbs and Sax. Mark Davis took over.
He gave up a walk and then an RBI single to Tim Wallach before getting out of it.

Dodgers lead 4-1.

That ended up being the final.

I went 1 for 3 with an RBI and a stolen base.

Only one game left.

Meanwhile the Mariners clinched. It is down to the Cardinals and the Pirates in the NL East.

The final game of the season. It was a good year.

The Dodgers are heading to the playoffs and we are heading home. They are pitching Rick Honeycutt (12-4, 2.83).

The Giants are going with our ace, Dennis Eckersley (17-11, 2.12).

I have gone 4 for 20 against Honeycutt.

I open the game by grounding out to Tim Wallach at 3rd.

We had a heck of a 2nd. With two out Kenny Oberkfell walked. Then Lee Mazzilli singled. Eck singled, scoring Kenny. I walked to land the bases. Mike Aldrete doubled and we all scored.

Giants lead 4-0.

In the bottom half Candy Maldonado hit a solo homer.

Giants lead 4-1.

I led off the 5th by flying out to Mookie Wilson in centre.

In the 6th John Rabb scored on an error by Mookie. Kenny O scored on a Mazzilli single. I singled off Steve Trout but Lee was thrown out trying to score.

Giants lead 6-1.

In the 7th Kenny O hit a three run double and then scored on a pinch hit double by Mike Jones.

Giants lead 10-1.

In the bottom half pinch hitter Jon Debus doubled home Wallach. That was it for Eck as Nestor turned it over to Randy Morse.

Giants lead 10-2.

I was set to lead off the 8th but with this lead, I was lifted for Keith Smith. My season is over.

We won 11-2.

A nice end to the year.

I ended up hitting .238 on the year. I would like to do better but I DID steal 141 bases! An all-time record!

The Dodgers seemed unbeatable, but they couldn't get it down, falling to the Cardinals in five.

Meanwhile, with us out, my family looked towards the Mariners, but they couldn't beat the powerhouse Yankees, losing in six.

The World Series ended up being fairly forgettable as the Yankees swept the Cardinals in four games.

Gary Carter was named MVP.
