Changing Rule 5 draft in a historical game
I inadvertently forgot to cancel the Rule 5 draft when setting up a career historical game for 1915 on.
According to the manual, I should be able to cancel the Rule 5 draft on the Rules tab for the league for seasons after the initial game setup, but that option does not appear on the Rules screen in my game. The problem is that more than half the star players (eg: Tris Speaker et al) are made available for the Rule 5 draft in December 1915 despite being on the major league roster with multi-year contracts. There appears to be no way to effectively protect players from the Rule 5 draft. Does anyone have any ideas on how to cancel the Rule 5 draft in a historical game, or do I need to suck it up and restart this game? |
