Historical League Settings Question

I am a long-time player of OOTP; however, I am wanting to start a league in a manner in which I haven't tried and I don't know how to do the settings and I'm hoping for some assistance from the community.
.
Here is what I am wanting to do:
.
I want to start a historical league, starting in 1994. I want the offense stats to be as they were in 1994, the pitching stats to be as they were in 1994, etc. But ... I want the pitcher USAGE to be more like modern-day - such as teams going to the bullpen earlier, pulling starters and relievers earlier, using openers occasionally, etc. First, does this make sense? If it is confusing, please let me know and I'll try to explain further. Second, assuming this can be done, what do I need to do in the settings?

Go to Game Settings > League Settings > Stats & AI page

On the left side of the page, you'll find the Strategy Settings. You'll see "Tracked Stats Detail", and "League Strategy, AI, and Stats Modifiers". Below that is "Import Settings" with a "Select Year" tab. Click on that tab, and select 2018. The strategy settings will be adjusted to something that I think is closer to what you want to see in your game. Once you've done this, uncheck the "Automatically adjust league strategy when advancing to next season" box, so that you freeze the strategy settings on the 2018 season's settings.

Go back to Game Settings > League Settings > Historical > Historical Progressing Settings, and verify that the "Automatically adjust league strategy when advancing to next season" box is unchecked there as well.

Now return to the Game Settings > League Settings > Stats & AI page

There are all sorts of options beneath the General AI Roster Settings and General Strategic Tendencies headings that you can individually adjust to your taste as well. Pay attention to the "Allow two-way players" check box as it's sort of tucked away from the rest. Check if you want them, uncheck if you don't. One of the options beneath the General Strategic Tendencies heading is "Use of Openers". You can select from 0 (Never) to 10 (Always). Sounds like you're more in the 2 (Rarely) to 5 (Sometimes) range, so stick to a number somewhere between there, and make your selections for the other options.

On the right hand side of the Stats & AI page, you'll find a bunch of settings underneath the heading "League Totals". I suggest selecting 1994 for your "Totals from Year" as this will import modifiers that will be used to keep your league totals on track for RL 1994 MLB totals. I think if you leave it alone, the modifiers will all stay at 1.000, and you may get some wacky offensive results. Then check the "Automatically adjust league totals modifiers for accuracy" box, so that the game will automatically bring in modifiers for 1995, 1996, 1997 etc etc as you advance in your game. Unless you want the totals to stay frozen in 1994. Then leave it unchecked. There is another box for this at Game Settings > League Settings > Historical > Statistical Accuracy (top of right side of the page). Make sure it's the same as the box on the Stats & AI page.

Also, be sure to set your BABIP to .300 for 1994 (RL MLB BABIP) on the Stats & AI page because quite often the game will bring in a slightly higher BABIP, which will inflate your numbers a bit. You can look up the BABIPs for other seasons here, and do the same for each season as you move forward in your game, or if you're keeping 1994 permanently, make sure the BABIP is .300 before you start each year. I think that's it, but by all means, fire away if you have any questions.

I do tend to be a little verbose. Should work for you though. Let me know if you have any more questions. The different settings, and what they do, and getting the type of stats output you want in your league are my specialties.
