Settings?
Anyone messed with the settings for their leagues and settle on something other than defaults?
Player development/aging settings, scouting accuracy, talent change, etc.

I always start by setting roster size and service time limits on my minor leagues. Other than that I don't do much different.

I usually have minor league roster size limits...I also use realistic injuries...I toughen up the trade difficulty to hard or very hard. I don't like being able to see injury proneness...(that's what injury history is for). I also allow trading of players injured more than 7 days.
Some might argue with me here...but I like to use market sizes based on the financial values of each team...rather than what the payroll is in any given year. To me the teams will behave more realistically over the long haul in a long term save. I think as long as it comes out close to an average team revenue of 195 million this year. It used to be 190 million..but I now notice the avg. team profit is low if it's closer to 190 M. I use 20-80 ratings for all scout grading. I also have a 40 round draft and create players for 45 rounds. I don't really like league evolution unless maybe it's just more or less offense and/or pitching and defense. But that's really about it for me. |
