Simply AMAZING!!!

I have a solo-league I progress from 1933 and have thought about creating uniforms for different eras but have never started the undertaking. It would still not even compare to the amount of work you are doing here!

Again, AMAZING!!!

Someone asked me where I got the letter swashes from. If you're interested they can be found here: Download LHF Ballpark Swashes font free! More than 50000 fonts to download for free

And on a side note I'm about 75% done with the uniform and logo sets.

I have finished the first three eras (1871-99; 1900-24; 1925-49) so I've decided to make those availabe. There are just shy of 300 teams and just shy of 500 uniform and logo sets. You can get them here: uniforms and logos 1871-1949.rar

A note: the uniforms for any team that exists in multiple eras will have the exact same name. Ex: jerseys_detroit_robins.png in 1871-99 will also be jerseys_detroit_robins.png in 1925-49. So a jersey from one era will overwrite a jersey from another era. This was done on purpose so that when an era changes in my (future) quickstart it will be easy to mass change uniforms.

I will also post this in the OP.

Hey cephasjames, this is incredible. Awesome job man.

I hate to ask since you have already done a lot here, but could you include the excel/doc you mentioned that lays out the history?

Again, this is great. I am going to start a league tonight with them.

Thanks again.

The logos for all of the leagues that I'm going to use and three documents - the readme, timeline of change (documents year-by-year changes) and baseball history (follows each team and league in an excel document) - can be found here: http://www.mediafire.com/?6i6hx09pnja3lnz

You know, spleen, you've got me thinking. Maybe I don't need to do an actual quickstart. With all of the uniforms and logos and documents explaining everything that I have planned, maybe just releasing all of that stuff is enough for people to do their own things.

I have lots of ideas for different leagues. The roadblock that I always run into is logos, jerseys, hats, etc. I like this aspect of the game very much and the default stuff doesn't do this feature any justice. I can't play the game with the game created stuff.

What you are doing here is something that I was trying to do myself, but wasn't any where close to being successful. Now that you've done this, I think I can put into practice all of my different ideas and not be road-blocked by this stuff.

A quickstart wouldn't hurt because it takes the work out of creating your universe. You just hit a couple of buttons and off you go. Releasing things this way is also a good idea so that folks can use this stuff as they want.

What you have done here has really got me jonesing to play OOTP. I'm going to be up all night.

Going to toss my thanks on here too. I'll probably only use the logos and uniforms, while your quick start does look interesting (and I may actually make a league using all the documentation included) I've got a few of my own in mind I've been looking for earlier era unis and logos for. This is exactly what I needed.

Note to self: Princess Kenny was really off-putting.

Thank you so much for all of the hard work you've put into these uniforms, caps and logos, and for generously making them available to the masses. They look fantastic.

I'll add my thanks as well the game wouldn't be half as much fun if it wasn't for people like cepha and the many others who contribute to the logos/jerseys/caps/schedules etc, they don't get enough credit imo.

Really beautiful work. I think the "based on history" idea is one of the toughest to pull off successfully, but your work is pitch perfect.

Just to add my thanks Cephas, great work and I'm sure i'll be using some of these uniforms in my fictional/historical league as it develops.

This is incredible work! Many thanks - I know it has been LOTS of work. I had planned to do something similar...now you've done it for me...it's awesome. Thanks again for this and all the contributions you have made!

I'm a little over 3/4 of the way done with the 1950-74 era (about 70 more sets to go). It's going to be big enough (95 more teams and 320 more uniform and logo sets) that I'm just going to release it when its done rather than when all of the final three eras are done.

CJ great work, I would download the QS if you make 1, but with the documentation I'll probably just create my own league also...Love the red pinstripe Chicago Athletes jersey and all of the Brooklyn Blue Sox uni's.

I agree. You pretty much have laid it out for us to take your work and create our own quickstarts. Good work! I'm very much impressed!
