Nice little website as well..lots of good stuff! Thanks again for a great link...will be watching a few fights on the channel. Just watched Ike Ibeabuchi..what an amazing talent,damn..imagine how he would have changed the division?! I think he would have dominated the division. He just might have put a few dents on the careers of the Klitschkos and Lennox. The division sure could have used the excitement. Probably the worst group of heavyweights(late 90's to present)in history. I just hope that David Haye,Kevin Johnson and a couple others create some much needed excitement within the division. Have a great weekend.

OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I watched the Bob Foster-Mike Quarry and Ellis-Patterson fights last night. I remember both. Bob Foster at Light-Heavy may have been the greatest ever at that weight class. He really clocked Quarry as he was sadly outclassed. I still think Patterson won the fight even though it was closer than when I watched at age 15. I remember my Dad and I sitting in front of the TV watching Wide World of Sports the ESPN of the old days. I plan on watching quite a few more oldies as I remember them. The good old days of free fights are gone as PPV and greed have been the demise of boxing. Thanks, Mike Simmons |
