Players being extended automatically

I'm having an issue where my players are being offered extensions without my action. I've played this game for awhile now and this is the first version I have had this issue with.

I have my manager options set as normal as well. My guess there is a new setting somewhere I'm unaware of.

Dumb question, but: were they in the minors at any point? I don't know if minor league managers/AGM can extend guys with major league deals when they're sent down.

I haven't noticed this before.

Can you provide some examples of the players and extensions that have been offered?

Your owner is probably has a meddling personality. You should see what the owners ratings are in I believe the front office tab.

looks to me like you have your minor league managers allowed to sign free agents and release players. and your Asst. GM can hire and fire minor league managers. Maybe that is part of the problem?
