Out of the Park Baseball 14 released! (plus patch info for pre-order customers)

Hello baseball fans,

we are proud to announce that we have just released Out of the Park Baseball 14! The game is available for download immediately, here are the links to the setup file:

IMPORTANT - Patch info for pre-order customers:
The download links above are for the latest build, version 14.1.4. To apply the patch, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Saved games are compatible between different versions.

For PC users we have a special patch file, which is the smaller download, you can get it here: PC patcher to version 14.1.4

Changes in Version 14.1.4 compared to the release version from Friday:
- Fixed rare issue with playoff seeding in the major league quickstart, resulting in teams playing themselves or in multiple matchups in a round.
- Fixed the amateur draft pool player origins.
- Fixed clearing the pitching staff not clearing the bullpen.
- Fixed rare random game lockups and crashes.
- Fixed errors in the major league quickstart (changes only apply to new games, not existing ones!)
- Fixed various other reported bugs

Markus - does this have the fixes to the roster file from the other thread? (ie Jordan Danks' contract, etc)?

Jordan Danks has a MLC

Josh Johnson's birthday is January 31st, 1984.

Chris V. Carter's statistics are fixed.

Jorge Soler has a 9 year, 24M contract.

Safe to say that roster updates were put into patch.

Yes, all fixes as of noon yesterday. Although of course you need to start a new major league game in order to have the fixes take effect. They cannot be applied to existing saved games.

When I click on the PC installer link, I cannot connect to the server. Not sure if its traffic or its me. I tried shutting down my antivirus but that didn't seem to work.

Strange. When I switch browsers to Chrome, it works OK but it downloads very slowly (estimated time 2 hours). Can't connect to it with Explorer for some reason. Oh well.

Your connection speed must be really slow...it downloaded in maybe two minutes (if that) on my end...

If anyone else has this issue, please clear your browser's history, cookies (esp. anything related to OOTP), cache or try using a browser you have never used to access OOTP with.

The Linux file is 14.0 Build 2 and still won't activate the license.

Please try again and clear your browser cache, it looks like you pulled the wrong file.

OK, I've now downloaded the Linux file from the main and the mirror, installed, and both show up as 14.0 Build 2. I'm using Opera with the disk cache disabled, so I don't think it's a cache problem. I'll try downloading with a different browser, if you think that would help.

Please try again in an hour, maybe the cloud is giving you the old file still. It always takes a bit until the files are distributed I guess.

So you have to start a new game in order for the random crashes to stop? I thought it said above that this patch was able to be used on saved games?

No, the only thing you need to start a new game for are the fixes in the major league quickstart rosters. The rest of the fixes apply to existing save games too.

I'm still on the fence. Was looking at the pics in the ad. Is it now possible to trade a player for money only? And is it possible to see pics of some of the new facegen historical players? And how exactly has the pbp been improved? Thanks.

Yes, but only if you start a new league. ML roster updates do not affect pre-existing leagues.
