Historical Mode - user controlled movement only

It's I'm sure not perfect, but I suspect it would be more than "good enough" to better recreate the historical experience

Is it possible to play Historical Mode and "turn off" AI trading?

As noted above, my suggestion is to allow the user complete control of player movement in Historical Mode

This is exactly what I'd like to see. Actually, it's what I bought the game to do - play through seasons using a variety of "what if" scenarios. What if Gretzky never got traded to LA? What if Roy stayed with Montreal?

As it stands right now you can sort of do this by playing a single season at a time - but even then the game engine starts moving players around during the season. My current sandbox just trade Robitaille to Calgary and despite my best efforts it looks like, even though I'm in commissioner mode, I'm stuck with the transaction - I was hoping I could at least undo any 'major' moves along the way but it appears I don't have that much control.

In commissioner mode, you can actually go to each players profile and there should be an edit function. From there, you can choose which team he is contracted to/plays for.

So for example, you can take a look at who was traded, and then go to all of their profiles and put them back on their respective clubs.
