You asking this question multiple times is bizarre. I don't think it's a favor, I think it's good business to do that, and it's not new. Look up word of mouth marketing. I don't see how doing that means you are in financial trouble, and I'd be more worried if they didn't do that.

I asked this question a SECOND time because I felt like it needed to be asked again. The subject matter that initially prompted the question in the first place was revisited in the discussion.
I looked up word of mouth marketing. Thank you, I learned something new today in the process. Another question that I asked TWICE (well, to be fair, the second time I asked a person this question I told them not to bother answering it) was why OOTP had plans like this; the elephant in the room: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ll-update.html |

While there are hundred of leagues out there, I also feel that that majority of OOTP players are likely playing Solo leagues. I don't have statistics to back that up, but I have been around this community for over a decade and that's the impression I get. So I disagree with the notion that OOTP needs an online only product to survive and I also doubt that we'll see an online only product any time in the near future. I never say never but that's my two cents.

This post suggests that is what you were implying. That in-order for the game to continue being a success it would have to make the changes you were suggesting.
Yes. This company has released 13 versions of this game with one main source of advertising EVERY year, word of mouth. If the request has become more explicit over the years it's probably because of all the new people that are showing up that don't understand the roots of the game, and how the game is advertised... like yourself. Also, there is no three post rule. But it's considered good board etiquette when you plan your posts out a bit. So if you're replying to three people, or one post in this case (though I expect you did this to spark a reaction out of someone), that you make one post instead of three. Like I said, it isn't a rule, just good etiquette. It keeps the board clean and makes it easier for people to reply to you. I was basing that conclusion off of this post. You seemed open to the possibility that your assumptions were incorrect. Now you seem to be trolling.

I just finished another great nine innings of MLB 13: The Show. The critical moment of the game was a dropped third strike combined with a throwing error by the catcher with the runner safe at second.
It's a great graphical game of baseball. It has great stadiums, uniforms and announcers. You can only play the current MLB and the franchise stat tracking isn't great, but the game plays a good game of baseball and you can play it totally as the GM/manager in pitch-by-pitch mode. If you like graphics with your baseball this is as good as it gets. I strongly recommend it.

Go back and read things over again. You're getting confused.

I'm not trolling. There have been some good posts by other members of the forum. You're reading comprehension skills leave something to be desired. I'm not going to respond to your posts anymore because they are nothing more than a waste of my time.

Up here, I'm going to help you.
When you go to quote someone, you can put the tags in a single post multiple times, with space between, so you can quote one person multiple times in a single response. That is how you can avoid the 3-4 post responses to single individuals. |

Thread closed because evidently some people are bored and posting just to stir things up. From what I can tell, OOTP14 and the company are doing just fine.
