Who's going to be the biggest flop next year in MLB?
Of all the guys who are having good years(in the area of .300+, 30 HRs+), who is most likely to have a bomb next year?
My prediction: Beltre! |

Agreed Dagrims, Sheff is a good canidate. So is Scott Rolen, who I'd expect to approach his more typical .280-28 type of season. Not exactly a bust, but compared to this year...

While not a superstar, Pavano is emerging into a solid pitcher, and I imagine the Fish might let him walk away a la Kevin Brown '97. I'm surprised Delgado had such a quiet year, but was not at all surprised to see Beltre emerge as the guy everyone expected him to be 4-5 years ago.

beltre's a good pick as well. mora was having the same kinda year last year until injuries hit. i expect him to have another good year although i think he will come down in the avg category. still expecting ~.300 or so.

Not exactly the MVP calibur numbers that he is having right now, but certainly shouldn't be a bust in the following years. Last edited by benchwarmer; 09-28-2004 at 10:08 PM. |

Jose Guillen is not hitting .300 nor does he have 30 homeruns.
Guillen and Mora are both former prospect busts who've had back to back fluke seasons. Interesting. |

dont get me wrong, i dont think he's going to fall to .270-20-80, but IMO probably .290-30-100. is that a bust? id say yes after a season of .300-48-150. |

I wasn't being Bias. Heck on my other sites that i go to i am the on to hit the sox players the hardest. I just feel Fenway fits his batting style. With that big Gap in Right Center field(Ortiz has hit 80% of his doubles into that gap. Then the Green Monster has helped Ortiz alot(as just about every other sox player) And the short Right field fence only helps Ortiz more as he is a pull hitter basically.
But, you could be right and he could be a 30/100 guy. and after this season, that would be a bust. I agree. |
