New Patch Doesn't Work

I just purchased the game two days ago and have been playing successfully. Today when I tried to install the patch, I received 2 error messages during the install regarding decompression errors (#2026). One was "unknown." The other was for GDFInstall.exe. I had no choice but to ignore, but after the setup, I got more errors: Error Installing Game (#1004) and Windows Cannot Access Specified Device, Path or File. So, I'm unable to launch the game. OOTP21.exe (which is dated 4/2) just yields these errors. Obviously, I want to continue my game. Help, please?

Someone will likely have a better answer than me, but what I would start with is grabbing your save and copying it to somewhere else where you know you won't lose it, and then reinstall the game. Then you can move your copy of the save into the folder where you got it from. Without knowing more about the errors I don't know what else you could do.
