Insufficient number of prospects
I am not sure if I should put this in here because I don't know if it is a bug or if it is operator error. I am playing an AHL season and the NHL has started its playoffs. I had a couple of players called up to the NHL and now I cannot continue to the next day as I get a message saying "Insufficient number of prospects!" "You need at least 12 players under the age of 26" Well I have 13 players who are under the age of 26 and it will not let me continue. Am I looking at the wrong area? Most of the player's rights belong to the NHL team, so do I need 12 players who don't have an NHL team owning their rights?

You can have the AHL team's AI fix it. It's annoying when that happens almost every year at preseason.

The players can be under contract to either team, there just need to be >=12 on the roster, so that shouldn't be it. Can you post a screenshot of your roster screen with the Info view on (or upload the save)? I may be able to figure out what's going wrong from that.

Ah, you're technically under 12 because two of your young players are away with their national team. But that shouldn't be stopping you from advancing since you have no more games to play - you've been eliminated from the AHL playoffs, right? And you still get the message when you try to continue to the next day?

Yes, I didn't make the playoffs and when I try to continue to the next day I receive that message.

That's strange, it shouldn't be forcing you to meet roster requirements if you have no more games to play; you're effectively in offseason mode at that point. Can you upload the save so we can have a look at it? Instructions for uploading are here.

As an AHL GM, do you still get to control the ECHL team? If so, might that team be the issue?

Thanks, happens to me as well when I try to advance. We'll get that fixed. In the meantime, the simplest workaround is just edit one an older player's birth year to 1993 and then switch it back when those two guys return from the tournament; that'll let you continue the game.

Thanks! Editing one if their ages has allowed me to continue past that day.
