Historic Independent leagues
Have historic indepedent leagues so if i choose i can play in the GBL or the NAL or other former independent leagues

I would guess that with the significant improvements made to historical minors in OOTP18, including the addition of Negro Leagues and the Federal League, it would only be a matter of time before unaffiliated leagues (which would include, as examples, the Eastern League, Southern League, and PLC in the early 20th century - before any of their teams became affiliates of MLB teams), and then actual independent leagues are introduced. As it is, gamers are able to get many of the historical minors players - importing as free agents - who played on teams who are not in OOTP, and so gamers are creating fictional leagues & teams so these free agents have someplace to play. And if that works (it does), then it would seem to be a natural progression to introduce these additional leagues... Time will tell. Fingers crossed!

I'd love to see historical independent leagues, there are definitely some interesting possibilities (the Players' League comes to mind). It would also allow the Federal League and the Negro Leagues to be classified as independent leagues rather than appearing under the minor league umbrella, which would be more historically accurate...

You can set these leagues to unaffiliated on the Leagues and Teams screen under Game Settings. It should be the default but is not for no perfectly good reason. Then you can have your own free agent draft and things like that.
