Two very valid and long overdue requests
Strategies in particular and I hope to be able to work with Paul in detail on these once development starts. |

One thing I've never mentioned. Is there a way to match the fighters stance with their punch output? Like having a southpaw throw an overhand left instead of an overhand right?

When Paul or his graphics guy have time to get to it, I'd like to see the Fight Screen fixed so the individual boxer's pics at either side are restored to at least the size they were in 2.0 or 2.5. When using historical fighters I think this is a key component to bringing the boxers alive in your universe. I can understand where it wouldn't matter much to guys using fictional characters, but seeing the photos of the real historical boxers connects you in a way text alone can't. Especially if you know the often colourful history of these guys.
You know the old adage of a picture's worth. Cap

I also vote for the pics to be a bit bigger, I am not a skinning wiz or I would work on something.

Just ran through one fight fast and it worked perfectly. Only negative comments I have are artistic ones. In the pre-fight screens you should have the names a darker colour and in a simpler-to-read font. Also everywhere you should lose the cellotape on the polaroids. Looks tacky.
The top of the fight screen needs work. Do we really need the year? Fighters' pics need to be larger and the nationalities should be under their names instead of in the middle. Makes it look like an amateur tournament (In this case Canada vs USA). Also need to show weight class. How about leaving that space above the points and round for weight class and/or title fought for, eh? Cap

Here is something I came up with, but again I am not a skinning wiz. This is more like a trading card, or you could take out the words and it would be like a yellowed polaroid that kept with the feel of the game. |

I personally was hoping to see a set up where you could start your on promotion company and build your stable of fighters(RL) by signing them to contracts etc. is there any plan for that.

Not sure why it was necessary to use up so much space for the stats, conditions, etc on the fight screen. It looked fine in the previous versions and allowed space for the fighters' pics to be a decent size. This is a boxing game. The focus should be on the individual boxers. In any other sports game you're usually dealing with teams, so you can get by with a small team logo. In a boxing game you should be placing the emphasis on the two combatants to try and make the thing come alive. You don't have real animation or the voice of an announcer shouting their names. Those photos are your best way to immerse your gamer in the battle playing out before his eyes. This is especially true when using well-known historical boxers. With Dempsey, Marciano or Frazier a glance at their photos triggers mental images of ferocity. Ali, Tunney or Robinson conjure up speed and agility.
Tiny pics at the top far away from the action below just won't cut it, and I'm surprised someone who knows the sport would set up the fight screen like that. It leaves me gobsmacked! Cap

How about fixing it so that we can add a custom logo to the rankings page, something like my old Mitt-Slingers masthead or The Ring. This, of course, would be in the not-too-distant future.
This would be extremely cool, especially if we could print it off. Cap

How about something more like this. Move the names over to the left and right to give more space in the centre. Put flags and records under the names again....
Would it be possible to use the trading card frame only in the individual boxer's page and fight set-up screen? Cap

You can see success has been limited. I can move the text/images, but cannot remove elements. I think the difference in gap between fighter1 and fighter2's year of birth and record needs equalizing, but not sure if us as users are able to make changes. Haven't attempted controls (Traits etc) - but expect similar issues. Could do with some more useful guidance. ... and yes I removed the animation part. Well I removed the overlay for the Fight screen, so it may be possible to pick and choose. |

You seem to be making progress though. I wouldn't want to mess with the animation and text commentary. They look good. It's the stuff that frames it as you say. The Stats, Conditions, etc take up way too much space in the new version. They were set up much more effectively in the previous version. Wonder what they were thinking when they changed that bit?
It would be great if Aurelio would look in and give you some tips. Cap

Think I'm almost at the limitations of what I can do with this screen without a bit more information from someone in the know. |

For TTCB 3..I'm hoping there is an option to watch fights without any of the sliding bars active in just commentary, as you would be the promoter and what not.
I also have hopes in 3 that boxer are generated from the amateurs are you can just view amateur fights as well. There's so much potential for a career mode with seeing how fighters develop, who becomes PPV mega stars, the attitudes of fighters..controversy..differing promotions..it's endless. |
