Playing with the Financials turned off?
Just wondering how many people play OOTP without the bother of dealing with the financial side of the game?

It depends on the kind of league I'm playing.
Right now the league I'm playing most is sort of a town ball league. It didnt make sense to have million dollar contracts in the league so I turned finacials off. This is the first time I've dont this and I admit that I miss them more than I thought I would, but it just doesnt make sense. I suppose I could edit the finacial file to be more in line with what I what, but I dont have the patience or the desire to go that far. I also have a league that basically replaced Major League Baseball that I do use finacials for. Last edited by bwhansen; 04-22-2010 at 01:35 PM. |

I have always had financials on. Just gives me one extra thing to do in the game.

Almost always off, unless it's a modern era historical league.

I always play with them on.
That said, I *just* turned them on for my son's league - I figured it was a little too boring to deal with up until now, as his interests have changed. I think that's where people make their decisions: do you view the contract side of baseball as something that's fun or something that's a necessary evil?

Forgive me for the possibly dumb questions, but with no finances how do players move from team to team? Is it trades only? How do contract extensions work with no financials?
