I'd love to join...But Wewak is so bad and I'm tired of taking over crappy teams...
I'll wait 'til Expansion.

From my test sims teams appear to be balencing out well. Wewak hits ALOT of homeruns and EBH. They also receive modest bumps to fielding and baserunning. Pitching has been left alone so what you see is what you get with them. |

Ok if Sebastion still wants Samoa then this league is filled. And there is always trades to bring in a few of the guys you want. Lots of teams need your power hitters in exchange for contact/.obp players. As I have said a few times now trading will be very important to this league. |

Oohh...For some reason I thought when you traded for a person they were affected by the "bonuses" as well...Silly me.
EDIT: If he doesn't want Samoa, I'll take them instead of Wewak. Though Wewak is definately a cooler name.

Its a shame. I hadn't had time to read this whole thread and this leauge looks really promising. I wish I had time to read it earlier. I would have sntached a team if they would have me.

I plan to expand after 3-5 seasons with four new teams so there will be a chance to join up later. Rosters will start being built tonight and should not take long. After the last person joins I will take e-mail and aim info as well as ask you to give me your team name and logo and stadium information. As of now no one has contacted me about a website yet...if I strike out and try to do it on my own who knows what will happen Last edited by rudel.dietrich; 01-14-2005 at 12:56 PM. |

If I can get a team, I might be able to help you with web server stuff. I am setting up a leauge of my own and I have my own web server. If I can get it working, I will give you a folder in that space and you can drop whatever you need to on there. You will have to set up your own forum though probably somewhere else. I can't get forum software to work correctly.

I might be able to write your website for you if that's what you need. I don't have a problem with that.
If you send me the league file when you are ready to go, I can add that to the site.

Ok while im waiting to get this thing filled and started on rosters I am doing more testing. I have played the same season about 300 times and things look balenced.
Only one thing looks like it needs changing. The bonus I gave to pitcher endurance. Of all the things that need to be change im sure this seems like an odd choice. Let me explain why, Manado was consistantly having one of the best staffs in the league. They get bonuses so this was to be expected. However I was still wondering why they were so good even though the bonuses were small. It took me about 150 seasons to figure it out. Pitcher endurance. Using a fictional league with no modifiers will net you alot of good relief pitchers. Most will be between 3.5-4.5 stars. Well...add +25 endurance to these players and what do you get? Thats right. 3.5-4.5 star SP. So basicly this doubles the amount of pitchers Menado has to select from. You can switch a 4 star MR into a 4 star SP. Basicly they were doing this some seasons and had 5 SP with 4 or more stars. As you can guess this was a damn good staff. A smart human can take advantage of this and change his MR to SP and have a staff of aces. He could also see how his pitchers do during the season and rotate them out since he has 8-9 SP quality players. To make a long story short. I am going to take my +25 and change it to +15 or +10. This is a fairly significant change. What do you guys think? Took me ****ing forever to discover this |
