Suggestion for "League of Champions"
There's way too many leagues out there already, but just thought this would be fun (this may have been suggested already or a variation of it, so excuse me if it has).
It would be fun to have a league made up of the best owner from all the various leagues out there. Each league could nominate and owner, possibly based on win percentage, titles won, or something else. It would be up to that owner to carry on the "flag" of the league he came from and do his best to uphold the honor of the league. Good participation would be a key since hopefully the league would be made up of guys that love OOTP and know what it takes to get a winner (other than tanking and other such cheating devices). If it was to come about, I'd love to see a league similar to what others have done where history is built through 100 years of simming and catobase input. This is definitely not a new idea but something I've been interested in being a part of. From that point on, it would be fictional players although the minor leagues could be stocked with up and coming real players from the real minor leagues. Other possible suggestions would be to either have ratings at 1-100 so everyone can see exactly what is going on (eliminates some of the advantage a commish might have if the commish runs a team), or just the opposite where ratings are hidden (in which case it might be nice if the commish didn't run a team). I know other leagues have tried to cherry pick quality owners, but I'm not sure that anyone has ever suggested having owners "nominated" to be in the league. Any interest or bad idea?

I think it's a good idea. There, now at least one person responded so you don't feel stupid.

If we can get some leagues to agree to participate, I think it would be fun.

I'd have my league participate but I don't run one anymore. And I doubt any of the ones I'm in will nominate me as the representative.

Would the team name be the league name? Fictional? Maybe renames could be done to match the GM's in the league you are in? Suggestion....

Maybe carryover the same team name from your team in the league you were nominated in. Of course, a potential problem could lie in real player/team leagues with the same franchises by multiple owners being nominated.

Also, you would have to decide if you wanted fictional, historical, or real. Or just do one for each.

Stacy, are you planning on running this or just throwing the idea out there for someone to run with? I get the impression you're just throwing the idea out there in hopes of someone taking it and running with it.
