Anderson Utilities - AUPitcher

An early release of this program (for good behaviour):

http://www.planetootp.com/AUPitcher/default.htm

Pick a team, then pick a pitcher. A sortable grid showing his game by game is displayed with all the information how he did that game.
  • It hides all fields that all zeros in them (the CG game field for RP or the SAVE field for all starters).
  • It colors the wins in green and the losses in red to make them stick out easier.
  • Colors in blue the higher of the total for ground ball vs. fly balls
  • all fields are sortable
  • can click on row and see box score of game, if it exists
I am going to add more color coding, need suggestions here. Also add a quick reference to the game result

Here is a screen shot of the program in use:

It is cleared when using it. Note the coloring. The Aqua under IP means it was a quality start. The Blue under K or BB means that he struck out more than he walked or vice versa. Same thing goes with the GB/FB.

Added some more filters, including a team filter. Very good visual on how a pitcher has done vs. certain teams.

Added the players W-L S to the screen and also his 'team record when he pitched'. Then fixed a bug to correctly show it if he was traded.

Interesting to look at starters to see their team record when he pitched. Also with the RPs, as you can really see how some pitchers are only brought in when losing or winning.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I'm getting a message that states "I could not find the CSV dump"

I am guessing I've not done something right.....any suggestions?

Have to ask the obvious, have you done a CSV dump for the league in question. Also, have you tried any other of my programs with success?

I'm not feeling particularly bright right now. :-)

I haven't done a "CSV dump." How do I do that?

I just ran across some of your utilities and both have had the same message.

Sorry for what probably seem like such stupid questions! I'm learning...

It's cool. In order to use any of my stuff, yoiu need to open OOTP, under the menu, select DATABASE and then under tools, select CSV DUMP. This dumps all the info that my program needs.

That did it! Thanks!

I was wondering, what does the "Team Record when pitching" look at? I show pitcher that is 9-8 and the "Team Record when pitching" is 0-24.

The team record is something that is still being 'debugged'. I think it works fine if the player is on the same team the entire time, but if he was traded, it screws up. Still working on that.

My programs automatically update your version when I put up a new version.

What do you think of the 'concept' of the program?

I really like it. I hope to make more use of it as my games unfold.
