Doubt it. They still have to nail down all the rules that the NFL uses. Maybe you could be able to use it with fictional players in the upcoming version.

Canadian football won't be in the game anytime soon I guess. From what I remember, the rules are quite different, starting with just three downs instead of four (if I remember that correctly).

Yeah, 3 downs not 4, longer field (110 vs 100), and an extra player on each side are the biggest difference (a few smaller ones like more motion in the backfield allowed, the rouge single point for missed FG, and other stuff as well but most of that is less critical).
