Base Ball Union's championship is a thriller!

We're in our first championship series at the Base Ball Union and Addie Joss is single-handedly keeping the Boston Resolutes in the series with the St Louis Haymakers! Joss was acquired early in the '07 season from the Washington Statesmen and has been the Boston ace all year long.

JDScorch's St Louis squad has gone up by a game twice and each time azkyote's Resolutes have sent Joss to the mound to draw things even. Both times, he's hurled a great game to even the series.

They stand tied at 2-2 presently with 5 games left to decide this best of 9 series.

Link to the league is in my sig. Come check out the great series action as two more great games will be simmed tonight!

Good luck to both owners.

Yeah, good luck to both teams. Although I wish I could have been there instead

..............and we're tied 3-3 after 6 games!!

This set of games saw Boston go up 3 games to 2 with Joss to take the hill for Game 6.

Seems Addie is human afterall as the Resolutes lose Game 6 to St Louis by the tally of 6-5 to tie the series again.

Games 7 and 8 are on Saturday with the final Game 9 (if necessary) to be played Sunday at noon cst!!

A great end to a GREAT first season of Base Ball Union action!

Due to Joss' human traits coming out in Game 6 the Resolute will be forced to throw a 3rd starter in the rotation for the first time in this playoff series.

Boston is turning to veteran righty Deacon Phillippe for Game 7. In the regular season Phillippe compiled a 13-9 record while posting a 3.93 ERA. The Deacon favored pitching on the road where his 3.40 ERA was a full run lower than at home.

Game 8 will be handed to Christy Mathewson who finally notched victory in Game 5. Christy has been hit hard this postseason but after a strong outing in Game 5 he has the needed confidence to push through.

In the event of a 9th and deciding game, Boston will be very happy to get Addie Joss back on the mound. By not giving him a day of rest earlier Boston may have set themselves up for a fall.

We shall find out tomorrow!

Seems as if Andy's strategy worked as Boston just took Games 7 and 8 by scoring a run in the top of the ninth of each game to break a tied, holding on in the bottom of the 9th frame to bring the championship back to Boston, stunning the St Louis crowds!!

Congrats to Andy on the victory and to JDScorch on a great season for his Haymakers of St Louis.

Looking forward to 1908!!

A great season and playoffs indeed! I can finally claim my first ever OOTP Championship thanks to Cooley starting up Baseball Union and inviting me to play.

Also, a care package is in the mail to a certain Washington GM.
