Minor League Stats Way off - 1871

Using OOTP 2019, I created a league starting in 1871. I set up a Rookie league level minor league system at creation, and unaffiliated the minor league clubs. The Major Leagues numbers are in line with historical setting (high error rates, low K/BB rates). The Rookie league however is showing modern error rates and 15+ Strikeout games are routine. Do I need to do some manual editing of the minor league settings to keep it at 'acceptable' historical levels?

Make sure your settings are in line with the parent league. Under options there is a spot for the year

Already did that, the R league keeps resetting modifiers to 1.000 on its opening day.

Any other ideas?

Turn off 'auto adjust league totals modifiers after each season' for this league.

But you may want to periodically update it if you are progressing through historical years with correct modifiers.
