Question about Historical Mode
I was reading a post on HFBoards going over the historical mode and was wondering something. It said that before you start, you can decide whether you want players to appear not he team they actually started with or if you want them to be available via draft.
I plan to start in the 1936/37 season, and at that time there was no draft. If I select that I want players to appear on the team they started with, can I change that in 1963, when he draft first began, or will the players have to be added to the team the started with from then on out. Quick question regarding the first method, will the player just simply be added at the end of the season or is there a process to make him show up? Also, is there even an option to add players via draft in 1936/37, or would the only way be the authentic way for the time, with players only able to be added to the teams they started with? Thanks in advance for the help, all you guys on this board are awesome in terms of knowledge and ability to help with most situations. |

If you select the "Draft Rookies / Generate Rookies at Age 17" at start (in 1936/37), you will always have a draft (that is not possible to be changed later). Player will be generated at the beginning of the season they turn 17 and will enter the draft once they reach the minimum age for the draft after generation. Drafts are always at the start of a season.
If you don´t use the option, player enter the game at the same time they did in real life and will be put on the first team they played for in that year.
