Man, where's all of the DEDICATED 6.5 GMs? Anyone still play for real?
It seems like everyone I get, especially off of this board, just flakes a week or sometimes a day later. What gives?
I found somebody off of this board for my league, which is well-maintained, and ran well. Has a very recent roster set, with lots of prospects and MLB players. It's a very current sim currently in the offseason of 2013, but a lot of players are current. They said they were interested... they PM'd me infact. I didn't ask them to join. Said they were in a bunch of other leagues too. Once they signed up, they disappeared after the first sim. It was the end of the year though, so I didn't contact the dude until the year rolled over and it was check-in time, figuring he just wasn't around because there wasn't anything he could do. Of course he wasn't interested at this point (claimed new job, with a big drawn up excuse as to why he was going to post resignation but lost the link to my board...), so I'm again without a GM for one of my teams. Is it just this board? Are people just done playing 6.5? Or are the people playing this game just league hoppers at this point? It's so hard to find RELIABLE members, and when I say reliable, I mean people who will stick around for the course of atleast a season to see if they like it or not before giving it a thumbs down. People who send changes, stay active, etc. If you fit the above critera, and feel the same way... PM me or reply. I'd like to find a few dedicated GMs, even one or two... |

Most reliable GM's are committed to the 6.5 leagues they're currently members of. Unfortunately, it's as hard to find good leagues as it is to find good owners. The pool of 6.5 owners is dwindling.
Personally, I still prefer 6.5 to 9, but it's mainly due to the easier interface. |
