Game 3: And You Thought the First 2 Games Were Exciting...
I'm not even going to try to describe this. Just look at the box score in 3 parts.
Huntley in dire straits...

Wow...that's all that I can say. 3 of the 4 games came down to the wire. The margin of separation between are teams was minimal at best. Great series!

It's Not a Rivalry When One Team Never Wins
It's official--Huntley will never beat Singapore when it matters.
Have a restful sleep, G...

Never say never! his team is vastly superior, so don't feel so bad.... it's only logical.

Neuman Furshlugginers sweep aside Boston Glory in the Gold Division Series led by Will Clark, I don't think they are ready for Diamond but that's where they are heading, they'll face the WC Houston Aeros

Huntley and Singapore have become the Packers-Bears, Michigan-Ohio State, Giants-Dodgers, Federer-Nadal, Joey Chestnut-Takeru Kobayashi etc of PT. Those Division Series games were ridiculously competitive.

For the first time ever, I'll have 3 teams in perfect from tomorrow, as the Metuchen Mariners (pack-only) conduct a stunning sweep of their opponents after having failed to achieve a winning record during their time in diamond until this week.
The Brooklyn Dynasty will be returning to perfect at the first opportunity, having swept their way through their division round as well. Brooklyn's pitching is not suited for perfect, which may see them become more of a yo-yo team than one would think. The third team in this equation, the Blitzkrieg Boppers, won their wildcard game, but were then shown exactly how overmatched they are at this level by getting swept by the dominant Edmonton SnowPlows, who are inexplicably still seeking their first perfect title. Frankly, I hope they get it. Last edited by Magus978; 09-29-2019 at 02:30 PM. |

The two worst teams in my silver .310 league made through to the ALCS. The Ktown Rustics at 82-80 beat the Gatineau Tableau (91-71) in 4 games (the only series that didn't go to 5 games). The Bellingham Bombers (86-76) won the wild card game against the Los Angles Dodgers (87-75), and then beat the Historical Baseball Club (101-61).
So a 82-80 team will face a 86-76 team. The regular season head to head record: 3-3. That's baseball, Suzyn. Last edited by Zorian77; 09-29-2019 at 03:19 PM. |

1st game in Pentiction - same thing, extra inning loss. 2nd game in Penticton - a swift beating, 2-10. 3rd game in New York - Bob Gibson wins it, 3-1 for Flyers. 4th game in New York - Maddux wins it for Bobcats (5-2). Series over. 104-63 overall on the season, 4-19 overall against Bonaldi Taylor's Bobcats. I know this...Bonaldi Taylor. Anyway, I have about 170,000 PP and I might need a RF, a SS, relief pitcher, Maybe a CF, MAYBE anyone else that would just plain helps that fits that allowance...Cheers!

The San Angelo Warbirds have come back to tie the LCS at 2 games a piece with the Chicago Rampage in P423.
This was always going to be close as the teams were separated by 2 wins and had a 9-10 H2H. The warbirds are only carrying 10 pitchers and it might be coming back to haunt them. A quick 'next day' turn around after a gruelling 5 game series win against the heavily favourited Fresno Losers. Add a 11 run loss in game 1 and a 16 inning game 3 has everyone in the bullpen tired. The Rampage are carrying 12 pitchers and are tired as well. Game 5 SA - Roger Clemens 18-8 3.62 vs CR - Cy Young 23-8 2.43 The Warbirds have a good history of beating perfect Cy Young in recent Playoffs. Game 6 SA - J. Smoltz 16-10 3.01 CR - P. Martinez 18-9 3.42 Smoltz has been lights out down the stretch.1.22 ERA over 8 starts

Why am I worried about defense? The team that eliminated me just swept the division series. They have 100 George Brett at second base.

Nothing that can't be solved with the exclusive use of extreme flyball pitchers.
