Question Minor League PAs Development Question

Basically, my team has a lot of catching prospects that the game tells me should be in Rookie League & are overmatched if playing in A-ball

My question is whether they'd be better off, in a development sense, being buried in the depth chart in Rookie League (possibly getting 0 PAs for the season) or being a backup while overmatched in A-ball?

If memory serves, playing is better than not playing, and in addition your guys playing at A ball will only get stunted if they actually are overmatched (that is, they hit like .140 at that level or something).

You want them to be playing but not struggling. I'd take option 3 - trade some of your catching prospects for similar prospects at other positions.

Alternately, if moving them down gives you a logjam of rookie / low a catchers, consider playing some at 1B.
