I figured my 205K wouldn't be enough, thought someone else was going to bump it again though. It's definitely a fantastic deal but I'm also somewhat happy to still have the points available to finish off missions with.

Imagine going all-in then seeing 85 cj wilson pop up!

Agreed. I only pay more if it is the last card I need in the mission. Otherwise, might as well wait.

It looks like all the whales are switching to the new boudreau because the auction house is full of discounted ripkens and dahlens

A couple of Ozzies out there too, and it is only a matter of time before his price drops to something realistic. What do you think Ozzie and Dahlen are really worth? 100K?

Jumping in here not alot more than 100k, especially for me. I run a hitters park and defense is super important but I need all my guys to hit so I run 99 Wagner with Pesky as a defensive replacement. Both of those guys would be perfectly fine as a defensive replacement but I wouln't use them as my main guy.

I understand completely. I am currently sacrificing two positions (SS, C) to defense, and it really puts pressure on the rest of the lineup.

***PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT***

If you have the 94 Jose Ramirez listed for 45K, (4x 7-day average), pull it down now, no-one's going to buy it for that price and it's just going to clog up the auction list for another day and a bit.

Relist it for half that (23K, that's a fair premium for Collection Mania) and I'll buy it off of you.

Oddly enough, most have been selling at 45-50k. Sold one myself for that and I know 4 other people who sold at 40k+.

It is dependent on the Diamond Kluber in the collection. Need at least one of the two so it's easy to inflate the Jose Ramirez price to 40k when Kluber has been sold for 50k.

7 day average is a median so it's in the process of catching up. Don't think it settles at 45k but can't say it isnt worth selling at 45k when the Klubers have been listed at 50k.

Dude I sold it for 45K about five hours ago. That must have been my card.

Can we at least all agree to laugh at the guy who's put up 90 Earl Averill for 144,998/144,999 BIN?

Pre-collections average was 5,300

I have him, replaced him with Tris Speaker. And 95 Speaker, not even 98 Tris PEAKer (see what I did there?)

I don't think you can trust the reported sale prices on the auction house anymore. The last 7 on this card can't be right.

Yeah, I hope they fix the AH data for PT 3.0.

The last 7-day values have become less reliable as the cycle has gone on. The highest price data was never accurate at any point during the cycle.

My latest laugh is the dude listing an Iron Tippy Martinez for 5K.

I used dude as it is an ancient Assyrian word with a fairly horrible <redacted> implication...

At some point...

you just have to ask yourself how someone can be so &^%*&( greedy. How much is enough for a SILVER card? I know it's a mission card, but it's for an 88 pitcher who has in my experience been unreliable.

I can't even imagine how this absurd sort of nonsense affects folks new to the game...

By the way, I should add I finished that mission quite a while ago, and paid a TON less...several tons less...

you still seem to be under the incorrect belief that the actual quality of the card has any relation to its price. 99% of cards are unplayable.

It certainly doesn't seem to directly relate to collection rewards in many cases either.

I guess it would be silly to base value on how good a baseball player is in a baseball game.
