.53 Patch
Just finished my first game with the new .53 patch and very happy with the improved animations. Ball trajectories, player movements have been tightened up nicely.
More players reacting and getting into the play and a lot less standing around. No "walking" infielders as ground balls roll by. I had my RF field an overthrow at 1b, if that was in before the patch I hadn't seen it in 74 regular season games played out or my 28 spring training games either. Balls off the bat looking more realistic to both OF and IF. Big steps up from the release version and it's only going to get better every year. Colored highlighted names in the boxscore widget in the modern view! Not only that but nice Red indicators of who's AB or on base. Thanks for this And the widgets now disappear during replays So I'll be back to building more ballpark cameras to enjoy the action. Really good job on this one guys |

The change where players will no longer fail to garner a rating at a position if they fall below thresholds was pretty cool.
I'm also extremely intrigued by this new option to allow drafted players to be traded in the offseason rather than a year after being drafted. I found in previous OOTPs (not sure on 19) that teams would pretty severely undervalue players for the first few months after they draft them if they have the ability to trade them, so if that does still happen in 19 hopefully that can be a useable middle ground. |
