Minute Maid Park

Kind of a funky situation. The shift is on for a LHB. He hits a double to center field. While the ball is being fielded by the CF, the 3B, who is the only player on the left side of the diamond, goes to cover third base. Good move. As the CF throws the ball toward second base, the third baseman scurries to second base to take the throw, leaving third base unattended. Meanwhile, the SS is standing not too far away from second base. The SS should probably be the one to cover second base.

Play was described as ending with the runner being thrown out at home. Animation showed the ball thrown the cutoff man and being held.

I had a batter ejected for arguing strikes, but the 3d movement showed the batter charging the pitcher& benches clearing

Minor cosmetic issue:
A lot of the home runs to left field in Progressive Field (Cleveland) look like the hit the wall rather than going over the wall due to the 18' wall in left field. I haven't check any other stadiums with tall walls (like Fenway).

A SOUND file problem, not a movement issue. On bunts that turn into double-plays, we hear the umpire say "SAFE" (instead of "OUT") on the plays at both second and first.

If you start the play (in this case I pressed 1) whilst the info pop up is on screen (from hovering the mouse over a player label) the pop up stays on screen during the play even when you move the mouse away. Probably not a lot you can do about it and it disappears once you move onto the next play. Nothing major but just wanted to make you aware in case you weren't.

E4, batter reaches first. The result is correct, but in the animation, the second baseman chases the ground ball all the way into the right field bullpen, and then boots it out there. It's actually very funny to watch, but probably should get fixed.

Need to figure out how to capture this info. Opening day Mets @ KC had a few weird things. OF chased a double through the RF fence. Wright had a hit to the LF, fairly short, ran to second then after LF threw it in he was back at first.

Also multiple times short FB to CF with Cespedes and his 10 arm, runner scores from third without a throw even though no one else on base. He'd NEVER lob it back to the 2B.

I just wanted to share with you what I saw while playing a historical exhibition game.

It was a little weird but the batter hit a grounder up the middle and into CF. The pitcher icon ran after the ball into CF. The 2B didn't do anything, although he was closer to the ball, and the CF just stood motionless, IIRC. The runner moving to 2B made it to 2B well before the pitcher picked up the ball in CF to throw to 2B for the out.

The play by play called it a fielder's choice at 2B by the pitcher.

It's the only weird, non-plausible action I saw in the 3D view.

3D View is awesome by the way and I don't really care if this "issue" gets fixed. Computer games do these things.

Matt Uk Major Leagues Join Date: Jul 2002 Location: UK Posts: 450	If you start the play (in this case I pressed 1) whilst the info pop up is on screen (from hovering the mouse over a player label) the pop up stays on screen during the play even when you move the mouse away. Probably not a lot you can do about it and it disappears once you move onto the next play. Nothing major but just wanted to make you aware in case you weren't. Elysian Fields Major Leagues Join Date: Apr 2010 Posts: 470	3D Pitcher - Fielder's Choice Issue I just wanted to share with you what I saw while playing a historical exhibition game. It was a little weird but the batter hit a grounder up the middle and into CF. The pitcher icon ran after the ball into CF. The 2B didn't do anything, although he was closer to the ball, and the CF just stood motionless, IIRC. The runner moving to 2B made it to 2B well before the pitcher picked up the ball in CF to throw to 2B for the out. The play by play called it a fielder's choice at 2B by the pitcher. It's the only weird, non-plausible action I saw in the 3D view. 3D View is awesome by the way and I don't really care if this "issue" gets fixed. Computer games do these things.

TribeFanInNC Hall Of Famer Join Date: Oct 2007 Posts: 4,019	Minor cosmetic issue: A lot of the home runs to left field in Progressive Field (Cleveland) look like the hit the wall rather than going over the wall due to the 18' wall in left field. I haven't check any other stadiums with tall walls (like Fenway).

Wright had a hit to the LF, fairly short, ran to second then after LF threw it in he was back at first. Also multiple times short FB to CF with Cespedes and his 10 arm, runner scores from third without a throw even though no one else on base. He'd NEVER lob it back to the 2B.
