You know who the guy on the left looks like a little? Jay Hook. Hook was 6'2", righty. Miller was 6'1", lefty. Could be a match.

Mets

I agree that these guys might not have played for the mets, but they both look too familiar not to have played for someone especially the one on the right. His chin is uncommon and I am almost certain I have created a card for him. The other guy is less familiar but not unfamiliar either. Would be nice to solve this mystery. Btw, I checked out my sporting news baseball guide for 1962 looking at the pitchers who were with their minor league team. I was able to identify by name most of them, checked those from my card database and nothing. There were some names I never heard of and they could be these guys but still, they look so dang familiar LOL

I agree that one of the guys looks a little like Bob G. Miller - except that Bob G. Miller was never at spring training with the Mets. He was obtained from the Reds in late April, 1962, and was released at the end of the season. He was in camp with the Giants in '63, but that was it.

Mets Players

Okay so I still havent figured out who they are; that said, I think their names are likely on this expense report. There are players crossed out too which may be them as well.

Its for sale on ebay for $2500.00 along with team photo.

Who ARE these Mets? They certainly aren't major leaguers, and they don't look like any of the dozen or so minor leaguers who were briefly in camp that spring of '62.

Any guesses? Remembering that these guys make Ray Daviault seem like a Hall of Famer.

Request for Don Lock - Phillies

Don Lock was with the Phillies for several years. Sadly, all of Topps cards were head/no cap cards. There are these two chest up photos out there but was wondering if Merkle or anyone else had any gems? high resolution black and white would be welcomed also if they are from the knees up. Thanks in advance.

This is sort of cheating, but here's a "knees-up" Lock/Phillies.

I don't think so. I know every name on that list and, while a couple may vaguely resemble the guy on the left, that fellow on the right is very distinctive and there's no physical match to him on the expense report (not even among the crossouts). If he's not Bob Miller--and it would seem that he's not--then I'm back to the Ace Haggertys of the world.

Don't know where I got this but somewhere on the internet someone was making "cards that never were" and they had this Don Lock. It may be from someone on this site.

Never mind. It was from YOU. taken from this link: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...post16702.html

Great work! I really like it better than the Topps 68 Lock.
