Trying To Create League With Historical Teams
Hi There-
I am relatively new to OOTP 16. I would like to create a league with 30 of my favorite historical teams ever, using the current MLB set up of two leagues, 3-5 team divisions in each league. The problem I am having is when I try to select these historical teams from different seasons. I submitted a ticket and was given this link for instructions: Out of the Park Developments Online Manuals Problem I am having is with this specific instruction: "The default database is in data/stats/historical_database.odb within your OOTP installation." I click Add Historical Team, which prompts me to pick the files they instruct me to above. I get to the Historical Team Import Options. I enter a year. I refresh the teams list, but I see no teams under the drop down menu. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I understand customer support probably gets bogged down and is likely a very small staff, but I find their responses to be very short and not always helpful. Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks! |

The usual answer in these situations is that you must navigate from where the historic team selection screen opens by default (in Windows, where the program files are stored, such as C:\Program Files (x86)\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 16) all the way over to where the game files are stored in My Documents. That is quite a hike up and down the folder tree.
Once you get to C:\Users\[name]\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 16\stats, then you select the Master.csv file in that folder, and click confirm (first screen print - I have the wrong file selected, though - you need Master.csv). The next dialogue window pops up in which you can select a year and then a team from the drop-down list. If you don't see a list of teams such as shown in the second screen print, then probably you did not locate the Master.csv file properly OR something is wrong with your game installation. Using Windows Explorer, you should be able to check to see if you have the files shown in the third screen print in that stats folder. If not, better reinstall the game. Sorry if you are using Mac; I hope you can interpret these instructions accordingly, if so.

The OOTP stats folder tends to be in your My Documents/My Library folder. i dont have mine in the x86 folder except the main installation.
