New sim 1901-2010

I ran a sim from 1901-2010.
From 1901-1960 I used 20 teams instead of 16, from 1961-1968 I used 24 teams, from 1969-1976 I used 28 teams, and from 1977-2010 I used 32 teams. Injuries disabled, position player fatigue on high, 162 game seasons, neutral stats with 3-yr recalc, all ballparks set to neutral park factors. I put all the teams into a single league and used DH from 1973-2010.

Let me know if you want me to post results of any particular player.

I noticed you have pitching stamina set at very low even during the early years. I'm curious as to why you did so?

Interesting results. Did you have financials on? What team won the most world championships? What player won the most MVP awards?

David Watts - I set {itcher Stamina to Very Low because I think it makes the results for hitters a bit more accurate. On very low relievers should tire faster and some SP's will tire sooner, when that hapens the best hitters tend to feast. Even so, the in game modifiers adjust things automatically regardless. I also set the config file to use IP/GS as the sole basis for calculating the SP Endurance Modifier instead of a 50/50 split between IP/GS and CG%.

Musial .319/.399/.523; 535 HR
Boyer .267/.325/.422; 276 HR
Brock .288/.333/.404; 1097 SB

B. Gibson 252-189; 2.77 ERA; 1.20 WHIP; 4030 IP; 3255 K; 2.45 K:BB

No Financials. Only 1 league, No AL and NL.

Ted Williams won 11 MVP's
Pedro Martinez won 4 Cy Young Awards

Randy Johnson had a 20K game.

Mark McGwire had a 4-HR game.

There were 10 seasons of 60+ HRs with McGwire topping it with 68 in 1998.

Triple Crowns Winners: Ruth, Ott, F. Howard, K. Mitchell, Ba. Bonds, A. Rodriguez.

Longest Hitting Streak: 47 games by Cy Williams in 1921.

The Cleveland Indians won 9 Championships

I am coming back to OOTP after a few years away and I always focused on Historical play so thanks for this post as it gives me a great place to start as I setup my league.

Couple of questions:
~Do you normally play with no injuries or was it just for the purpose of testing your player totals against historical player totals?
~Do you think playing a single league impacted your results compared to if you would have played in 2 leagues?
~I saw your reply about what you did with the SP Endurance Modifier, do you feel like that setting really helped with the accurate results you got?
~Are there any other initial settings I should be aware of that I will need to adjust? I am not looking for a perfect replay of history, I just like the league to have the "feeling" of whatever time period I am playing (usually 1980s-2000s).
~Is player recalc along with player development turned on the way to go if I want to see player's develop somewhat as they did in real life while still allowing for the possibility of an anomaly here and there?

Any feedback would be great, thanks!

I usually have bunting and hit and run very often from 1901-1922 It makes the pitcher's pitch count go up somewhat and if you watch the cpu play each other, it is realistic of the time period...alot of SB's and CS and hit and runs galore with OFs getting nice assist totals when a plyer tries to score from 1st on a H&R
