Request for 40 team 76 gamer

Hey, if anyone can help me out here.

I'm looking for a 40 team schedule for 76-81 games. 76 preferred.

Two sub leagues. 4 division 5 teams. No interleague. Mostly division match ups. Allstar game in the middle somewhere. Around May to Oct. Only weekend games. 3 game series start around 7pm. (fri-sat-sun).

If someone wants to help me out, thatd be so cool!

Thanks!

Well, the first problem I see is that 76 is not divisible by 3, so if you want to have all 3-game series it'll need to be a different number, probably 78. That would mean a 26-week season if you're only playing F/Sa/Su, which is one week shorter than the MLB season. So it would basically go from, let's say, the second week of April through the beginning of October.

If all that's alright, how does this sound?

12 games against 3 of 4 division opponents (6H/6A)
9 games against the other division opponent (6/3 or 3/6)
3 games vs each of 15 out-of-division opponents (3/0 or 0/3)

But Ive used a good one for a 24 team schedule that doubled headered sunday for a 4 game series. If that's better, ill take that too. Really my main priorities are 76-81 games, 40 teams,. weekend play, no interleague and mostly division.

Whoops, I did some shockingly bad math here. Here's what I think I'm actually gonna go with:

8 games against 3 of 4 division opponents
7 games against the other division opponent
3 games against other 15 teams in the subleague

That gets you to 76, and it would be in 24 weeks which is more like the timetable you originally suggested. Don't think I'll be able to finish this today but it shouldn't be long.

Damn, I keep saying things that don't make sense in here. Doesn't make sense to have teams have one opponent they only play 7 times, since each division has an odd number of teams & they couldn't all be paired up. Here's what I am doing instead:

10 games against each division opponent (either 6H/4A or 4H/6A)
3 games against 12 of 15 subleague opponents (3H or 3A)

Now the number of division games is actually a majority, which sounds like a plus for you. Downside is not playing everyone in your subleague, but this should still work out pretty well.

Schedule for 40 teams, 76 games
2 subleagues, each with 4 divisions of 5 teams each
--------
10 games each against 4 division opponents (6H/4A vs. two, 4H/6A vs. the other two; 20H/20A in total)
3 games against 12 of 15 other subleague opponents (3H or 3A; 18H/18A in total)
--------
All games are played on weekends; teams will play 20 3-game series and 4 4-game series (1 vs. each division opponent, with a Sunday doubleheader)
--------
Actual dates for this schedule are not set, but it runs 25 weeks in length. Mid-April through the start of October seem like natural endpoints but I'll let you set those yourself
Season, naturally, begins on a Friday night and ends on a Sunday afternoon
All-Star Game will be played after 15 weeks of play, on a Saturday night
--------
Friday games begin at 7:10 PM, Sunday games begin at 1:10 PM, and Saturdays are a mix between the two. If there's a doubleheader they're played at 1:10 and 7:10
Tried to minimize long homestands or road trips as much as possible, but didn't spend too much time optimizing this. Still, no team ever plays more than three consecutive weeks home or away

Hey Ruwisc, im not sure how long it takes you to create these schedules and youre doing gods work out there with them. Are you willing to do what you did for me with 40 teams here and do it again for 60 teams? If not, don't worry about it. I'll find a schedule from the schedule list up there. Mostly the reason i'm gonna ask you first is because it would be cool to stick to the weekend only games.

Didn't really make a difference to me, so I kept it the same as last time: 6 divisions of 5 teams each per subleague.

--------
Schedule for 60 teams, 76 games
2 subleagues, each with 6 divisions of 5 teams each
--------
10 games each against 4 division opponents (6H/4A vs. two, 4H/6A vs. the other two; 20H/20A in total)
3 games against 12 other random subleague opponents (3H or 3A; 18H/18A in total)
Each team plays at least two series vs. each other division
--------
All games are played on weekends; teams will play 20 3-game series and 4 4-game series (1 vs. each division opponent, with a Sunday doubleheader)
--------
Actual dates for this schedule are not set, but it runs 25 weeks in length
Season begins on a Friday night and ends on a Sunday night
All-Star Game will be played after 15 weeks of play, on a Saturday night
--------
Friday games begin at 7:10 PM, Saturday games at 1:10 PM, and Sunday games at 1:10 (and 7:10 if it's a doubleheader)
Teams will mostly alternate playing weekends home and away
--------
