ballpark 1897-a

This is the final version of this model...added a flag in center, a few more trees..and cleaned a few other things up.....enjoy.....

Don't buy it! There is a workaround. There is a plugin that Jorin mentioned here. That's what I use.

The only difference is that the obj and texture and material files get created in the save location of your sketch up file. I make sure to save each park in its own folder and all of the files end up there

trouble...hardly...I had to figure it out , lots more to come. I didn't like the way it looked either. I couldn't make more ballparks without fixing the tech problems. I really like doing this.Should be smooth sailing from here on out...lol....I said that before......

Okay, what am I doing wrong? I really want to use these 19th century parks, but when I loaded 1897a, I get the results below. The first is how the OBJ file imports into the game. The other is what happens when I hit "set rotations center to origin." Any help much appreciated.

ok its easy...

put your mouse pointer on homeplate ,press 1, next...put your mouse pointer on 1st base hit 2.....put your mouse pointer on 2nd base, hit 3.....and finally...put your mose pointer on 3rd, hit 4. Sometimes I have to start at first base hit 1 etc,,,,but not all the time...not sure why.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll give that a try after work. Two quick follow-up questions:

1) (for Silvam) What do you do differently such that it doesn't require this re-alignment of the infield upon import into the game?
2) (for you, Knight) Is that field diagram the correct one for this park? It doesn't look like the outfield matches the walls of this park. Just curious. It looks like the diagram that accompanies the generic minor league park that comes with the game out of the box.

make sure you ...

hit save 3d model...and after you get the camera the way you want it hit save cam....

Something else I have found...

If you change camera views...or anything else and just start a game...it might crash after the game is complete...best way to avoid this is to exit the game first, then come back in....

on that park...

for some reason I had to use 1st base as home plate for alignment...not sure why, my game was doing that.....it seems to have stopped doing it though........
