Are you in Europe?
Either way, if you feel this is an error, you need to contact support@elicense.com for PC or ESellerate for Mac.

I just noticed that happened to me too. I wrote to elicense as per Battists' pricing policy post and just asked for a full refund. I'm not going to repurchase it for a few months from now, until I'm sure that this won't happen again.

I'll just be happy with a refund of the over charged amount. That SHOULD be easy enough to do.

I might have too. I noticed when I was buying it, there was a Euro sign next to 39.99.
I'm guessing I paid in Euros? I am in the United States. Would having satellite internet make them think I'm in outer space or somewhere outside the USA? |

Here's the response I got from eLicense:
"Could you please let me know if the product was purchased via the desktop or the web store? There was a system error with the desktop purchase which caused the currency to be converted to EUROS. We can do the following. We will issue a refund for the purchase of OOTP 9. The first step we need to take is to un-license OOTP 9. To un-license, please follow the steps below. Make sure you are connected to the Internet- Go to the control panel- Find the e-License icon, double click on it- Double click on the publisher's icon- Right click on the application- Select un-license- Let us know once OOTP 9 is un-license and we will issue a full refund. Then let's try the purchase from the web store at: https://www.elicense.com/ootpdevelopments/store/ Please be sure to select United States as the country. Prior to completing the purchase, please make sure the currency is in USD and not EURO. If the currency is not in USD, please let us know. Thank you," So there you go. I advise everyone who bought the game via the desktop after having installed the game to check their credit card statements. |

If there's a process set up to buy the game from within the game, that has always seemed to me to be the safest way to do it. I've been buying Markus' games since OOTP 5, and never had this kind of problem before.

I purchased from within the game after download and installation. The only problem was it charged me in Euros.

I was also charged incorrectly for the game. $65.17 and I live in Canada. I emailed support, and I hope they can just do a refund rather than me having to uninstall the license and repurchase the game with a new license.
It doesn't seem like that should be so hard to do...but I'm not very optimistic at the moment. |

I sent an email and got no response.
Check that they replied, Yahoo put it in spam. Same issue, the desktop purchasing converted it to euros. Last edited by lynchjm24; 06-25-2008 at 11:20 PM. |

For those of you who got charged incorrectly were they just able to refund you, or did you have to do the uninstall/repurchase?

Did the uninstall/repurchase. Got my full refunded only a day later. I'm happy.

This is why $US should be the only currency charged
