I'm trapped at work. Any idea on the Houston Astros rewards? Been collecting for awhile and I'm interested to see who I could potentially get.

Cardinals: 10 missions, final reward is a PEAK Ozzie Smith (100). Some high 90s for the individual missions, including a PEAK Harry Brecheen and PEAK Keith Hernandez. The most modern mission offers a 2009 Chris Carpenter (92).
Astros: 6 missions, final reward is PEAK Cesar Cedeno (98). There is a (100) Octavio Dotel available for gobbling up the 2000s Astros. Other missions: 2019 Players of the Month (10 of 30 for 2 Diamond Packs) Nuclear Powered, which is full of Clemens, Boggs, and Griffey cards (among others) and pays two silver cards and a Diamond Pack, but I don't really grasp the pun if there is one. Iron Unsung Heroes (15 for 3 Standard Packs) Slow Burn, a rather trivial collection for a Standard Pack - pitchers that can't get it going?

Told you guys it would be PEAK Ozzie. 120 SS defense, looks like the best in Perfect Team if you don't care about power. I'd want him on my Cowboys team and already have a lot of Cardinals. But 10 STL missions? 10? 10...

Breechen is an improved Vida Blue and Ozzie might crack a starting lineup or two.

Go ahead and watch the episode, it probably holds up. You won't get it if you don't watch it.

Having three Darryl Strawberry cards is however not a terrible start for that one…

I would argue against Breechen being better than Vida.... they are about even, but Vida has the edge.

Looking forward to the second part of the Nuclear Powered mission, where you collect all of the players from Mr. Burns's original lineup, such as Mordecai "Three Finger" Brown and Pie Traynor.
Reward could be a 1937 Monty Stratton and a 1926 George Burns, perhaps?

I have seven RHP rated higher than any of the LHP: Young, Johnson, Maddux, Hoyt, Walsh, Schilling, and Martinez. Some of them are cheaper than the lefties, but it is nice to have a couple of LHPs for playoff matchups. |
