Triple play

First triple play I've ever seen. Trailing 3-0, runners on first and second, I call a hit and run to stay out of the double play. Batter hits a line drive to center, and both runners fail to get back in time. So much for that rally. At least I stayed out of the double play lol.

Two runners doubled up from center? Whoof...gotta tell those guys to lay off the pre-game burritos.

I just had it happen to me in an incredibly irritating fashion. After my bullpen choked up 4 runs in the 7th to put us down 8-4, we came back with HBP-single-BB-Grand Slam to tie it up at 8-8. Then single, single - 1st and 2nd nobody out. Then a line shot out to the CF and they got both runners before they could get back. The runner on 1st wasn't slow, either. Grrr. (First I've seen too! It's triple play season!)

I saw my first triple play in Game 1 of the 1972 World Series two nights ago between the Twins and Cardinals. Deep fly ball hit and the runners figured the ball would drop. Throw went to second to double up the runner there and then over to first to double the runner there.

In that same game, also saw an inside-the-park home run, so it was a weird game.

Think there is a TP column in team fielding stats.
