Question regarding creation of fictional league

Looking to create a fictional league with two conferences with two divisions of eight teams in each division.

Simple enough, but can it be created with the two conferences set in different countries, i.e. England and America.

Can it be done? If so how?

Thanks

It can be done. There are 2 ways to do this.
Option #1
If you plan on having interleague or an All star game base the league one country. Let's say England. This will give you 32 England teams. You will have to manually edit the other 16 team names for America. Edit the team name and then use the country drop down to select USA for each USA team.
When I create a league I go into Advanced Options vs using the Wizard.

Option #2
Create 1 16 team league in USA and a separate England league under Advanced options.
Use the association feature to have their teams play for a championship. You lose the ASG this way and you may want to have 2 subleague per country if you want to have an ASG.
I'll post Screenshots if need be, just tell me which one you prefer.

Thanks for that.

Leaning towards option #2 but have one question.

With option #2 would there be inter-league trading?

There's an option in the League Setup somewhere that will turn inter-league trading on and off. So, set that as desired. I think the default is to allow trades but I'm not 100% certain on that.

EDIT: I mean Inter-league in the sense of completely different league (like MLB and Japan) and not between leagues in the same league (AL & NL).

Yeah I understand, that's what I want, so for example if I have two sub leagues within the countries of England and America I want to be able to trade between each of the four sub leagues and between the countries.

Thanks for the reply.

I'll get to some screenshots in a few hours. If you know how to set up the basics of this league after you start the game go to Game - Current Game - Association.

Here is a SS of my current association.

So create your 1st league. I did UK since I do not know 16 UK cities I let the AI set them. Then go to League Setup - add league and then USA. I did not edit these but I would have chosen NY, CHI, LA etc. For both set the rules for each league. I would have made one league unique. No DH for UK DH for USA, etc. Then Go to Game menu - League associations and associate both leagues and set any rules like a shared Ammy Draft. I do not beleive that you can share an Inaugural draft but i could be wrong.
