In game AI??

Hi Guys,
I'm new to the game and am interested in historical replays only. That said, I'm playing in commish mode, gm and coach of 1960 Montreal. When I'm playing, is the AI making any on the fly changes depending on score and time remaining? IOW, more aggressive on offense if behind late in the game, or less forchecking and physical play if leading late in the game?

If you're autoplaying the games out without watching them, yes. If you're actually playing them out individually and don't have the assistant (in manager options) set to handle lineups and tactics, no.

It would be really helpful if there was an option in the play game screen to turn the Assistant on or off prior to or during a game, rather than having to select it globally.

Any chance the horrible AI selections, especially picking far inferior goalies as starters due to hotness factor & playing checking centers on the 1st line which doesn´t change until you send the center to the farm to get your star center onto the 1st line again, will get looked into anytime soon ??

A major immersion breaker in GM-only-mode.

I haven't seen this at all in FHM5. Where are you seeing it?

I did 4-5 test games where i traded for, f.e., JP Pageau, Sean Kuraly, Dave Lowry and had far better playmaking and/or scoring Cs already on my roster.
Various head coaches ALWAYS put Pageau as 1st line center and on the 1st PP line (but never assigned him to PK duty) and guys like Kuraly and Lowry as 2nd line centers and on the PP (and only rarely on PK).

The goalie issue happens on all teams - 5 star goalies sitting on the bench while 2 star goalies are playing because the are hotter (regular season and playoffs)

One problem with this situation is that the user cannot change the weighting of the factors that determine goalie starts, except for his or her own team.
