The Blue Jays celebrated Canada Day by notching a 5-2 win over the Tigers. Aaron Sanchez pitched 8, striking out 7, and Manny Pina hit a three-run blast.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. got his first major league hit, going 1 for 4 with a single.
