OOTP Won't Open At All

I have been playing OOTP18 for a minute now but immediately after I downloaded the new patch, I am unable to open OOTP 18 at all.

When I try to run OOTP it says that this app can't run with my PC. "To find a version for your PC,check with your software publisher.

The OOTP icon has went from the ootp logo to just a sheet of paper now.

Attached are the responses I get when I try to install the patch. it downloads fine.I went back and tried to download the patch again, same response.

Which Windows version are you using?

I bought OOTP 18 directly from OOTP's website. I am using Windows 10. Having changed operating systems or anything like that.

It seems like maybe the download is somehow getting corrupted.

Try re-downloading the patch using a download manager.

I have already tried re-downloading the patch on at least 2-3 occasions and same results but I'll try using a download manager.

Okay, thanks. So, recap. Where this is different, please try it as follows.

Delete or move the existing downloaded copy.
Download it again, and when you select Save location, select Desktop
If you have an antivirus program running or any program that monitors activity, please temporarily disable it.
Right click on the newly downloaded .exe and select Run As Administrator
(No, you shouldn't have to, but let's try it anyway.)
Assuming it runs- let's hope -allow it to use all default locations.

Let me know.

This is all good advice as well!

Okay, so I deleted the previous patches I created.
I downloaded the patch again using a free download manager.
I saved it to my desktop.
Disabled my antivirus.
Ran my newly downloaded .exe as an administrator.

Annnnnd, it didn't work. It lets me open up the .exe and I can get all the way to the screen where it tells me that
"Installation is successful. The game files are now installed on your computer."
And then the same two messages pop up that I screenshotted.

Please open the OOTP 18 program folder. It should be something like
C:\Program Files (x86)\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 18

Right click on ootp18.exe, click on Properties and tell us the size in bytes.
There's also a file "Out of the Park Baseball 18 Setup Log.txt" in that folder. Please send it to me. Thanks!

The log contains "[08/04/2017 00:45:16] Skipped Archive file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 18\ootp18.exe (Reason: Existing file overwrite setting)"

Please delete the ootp18.exe file manually, then re-install. Hope that helps!

Also remove the "Read only" flag from all files and subfolders in the OOTP directory.
