Way to remove/forfeit team from schedule?

As I think about/attempt to do the 1995 MLB replacement season with the players who would have been there, it comes to mind that Baltimore did not have a team and wouldn't have participated.

Is there a way to have a team forfeit its entire schedule, or remove that team from the league and schedule?

i don't think you can do this en masse in the game...

don't stop looking, but likely this is easiest way to change it:

before teh season starts you can export the schedule.... either delete the teamid that corresponds to baltimor or possibly you will have to turn them all to "exhibition" games. (deduce teamID from their schedule, if it's a 2nd or third year using that schedule, the teamIDs in the in-game schedue will differer from teh file because they get jumbled up so you don't play the same teams i nthe same order every year.)

proper use of "Find and Replace" will make short work of this task. i'd do both and save each as a file... try importing the deleted baltimor games... if it allows you to advance then it's fine.. it may tell you something is wrong and not allow you to advance due to the schedule, though... if that's the case you'll have to be happy with exhibition games and some teams getting tired playing baltimore for no reason.

whatever you do, make a backup before testing things out.

removing the team would release all the FA... but you may be able to workaround that stuff more easily than messing with the schedule... when one fails move to the next option... start with teh best option first (in your opinion) and work your way down.

i think the drawback of removing them is bringing them back - how to get all the right players back... you could export, and change their YoB when you re-import, but that does nothign for ratings that changed in teh meantime.
