500 Wins?
Has anyone seen 500 wins by a pitcher? I do a lot of historical replays (historical and real), and this was the first time I ever saw someone hit 500 wins. He stuck around just enough to cherry pick #500. Also won 13 Pitcher of the Year awards and 9 MVP's.

Wow, talk about longevity. That's amazing! TWO 30-win seasons in there too.
That final year K:BB ratio should have gotten him cut right after win #500, though.

Never seen close to that. I play a lot of fictional historical (mostly from the 1930's onward) and have never seen 500. Or 400 for that matter. Only a handful of guys have cracked 300 in my games.

This is obviously extremely unrealistic, but I had one man rotation on throughout the 1800s in my fictional league. The schedule fluctuated from 80 games to 100 games to 140 games and then back to 120, and Joe Cooley started almost all of them. He must have had an arm made out of rubber. He cracked 700 wins!

I'd put Matsura up there with any pitcher. See post 2.

Are you still running that league. I'd love to see your league files and history. That pitcher is unedited? Unfathomable. Wow. |

i made a knuckleballer a few years ago in a modern fictional league...
he made 45-47 starts a year and did quite well 30-win seasons and 370-400+IP/year were a standard, lol (*without the benefit of easier settings relative to pitcher stamina). he cleared cy young's total, but i can't recall how high he got. not that it mattered, he was a created player. the KB was 255, but the off-pitches were just good pitches. at some point after that i've seen a well-rated knuckleballer produced through natural means... his KB was only 210's and similar quality off-pitches and he had very similar results. i don't recall him making it to 500, though. They've changed the default stamina setting this year for that type of gameplay.... you can't start on 4days anymore without altering the settings (well, you can @ ~80% fatigue recovery). those 2 players couldn't do that anymore... they'd lose ~10GS per year and quite a few wins a year due to that. |

521 Wins in a league where he pitched everyday with an unrealistic schedule Mike Christian has 570 in a league using accurate pre 1901 schedules , rotations & roster sizes.
