in exchange for Leafs
Milan Michalek, 2nd Rd 2017 Pick & 3rd Round 2018 Pick

Jonathan Drouin has had his problems in Tampa since the outbreak of his wanting to be trade and Yzerman tried to make it happen at the deadline, but with no luck.
Now just before the kick off of the pre-season, Yzerman finally made a deal.
Drouin last season played 82 games posting a G:7 A:24 PTS:31 PIM:28 and a plus minus of: +21

Yzerman in return got Milan Michalek who was a big part in the Leafs making the post season last season. Milan finished the season with 78 games played posting: G:11 A:23 PTS:34 PIM:30 and a plus minus of: -9.

Tampa also managed to get a 2nd rounder for 2017 and a 3rd rounder for 2018, which originally was looking that Yzerman was wanting a 1st rounder when the trade deadline was near last season.

The Toronto Maples were looking to boost their rosters this year, as it looks good right now that they'll make the post season for the second straight year.
The Leafs sent Forwards Milan Lucic & Josh Leivo along with a 4th Rd pick this coming draft to the Calgary Flames. In the exchange the Flames sent forwards Tomas Tatar & Justin Williams and their 2nd Rd pick in this year's draft.

Milan Lucic wasn't happy with the ice time being provided to him since signed this season. Currently Lucic posts G:6 A:7 PTS:13 PIM:44 and a plus minus of +3 in 51 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Josh Leivo had his chance to be on the roster full time, but posted 0 points in 9 games with the Leafs roster. Leivo has played 7 games in the AHL posting a goal and two assists for 3 points.

On the other side Leafs received Tomas Tatar who has only been with the Calgary team for 3 games. He had 2 assists in 3 games with Calgary. Before being traded this year, he's played 60 games with the Detroit Red Wings prior, posting a G:21 A:16 PTS:37 PIM:18 and a plus minus of +6.
