Morbid as it is, it would increase the immersion factor if famous HOF-caliber players had news stories announcing their passing with career stats, reactions from current players in the league, things like that. Count me as a +1 vote.

I'm probably taking an overly simplistic view here; but couldn't you use the minor league logos/jerseys in the mods section, since most (if not all) of them have already been put together by one user or another? (unless there's some other issues/etc that I'm not taking into account)

Might have to have a licence to use those logos from MiLB.

As I understand the the OOTP 15 pre-order gave two licenses for the game neither of which were Steam based. Will the OOTP 16 give one Non-Steam license and 1 steam or is the second non-steam license still included?

I discovered the game in the middle of the current baseball season and missed the OOTP 15 presale.

Actually, you got 1 license that could be used twice, which is the OOTP standard. For 15, you could also receive a Steam Key, which is separate from the license.

This shouldn't change.

they already have the licensing approval (I assume that includes all levels of MLB, since Markus even said if they had time to create them (the minor league logos/jerseys) they'd include them); which is why I wondered why the ones already created by the community here couldn't just be pulled from the mods section and put to use (perhaps with in-game credits to the designers).

No, these advanced split stats are only available for the current season. They'd eat too much memory otherwise. Maybe in the future when every machine has 16 GB of RAM

After the passing of an owner, will the team still only be owned by Family members, or will we see the team get sold, owned by Corporate entities, etc...

Also, I ask again, will it be possible to break down a players stat totals by the teams he played with, so you can what they did in say 3 years with just the tigers, or 5 with the Yanks, etc...

Will the 2015 All-in-one still be available to download through the mod central which would feature all the uni's and caps etc..?

I assume yes, but just making sure.

Edit: Then again, I guess the options is there to just transfer them over as well - ones we have saved on our PC's already from previous versions.
