Kinda cool to browse through this thread and seeing some of the old names from FHockey posting. I've been dreaming of the OOTP team doing an EHM successor properly for yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaars.

A low-on-features, buggy-as-hell beta with even basic graphical problems? Sounds like a week of my life has just gone; I will start playing obsessively when I get home.

OP says that Game Engine Settings would be editable in the initial beta, but I can't get any of them to change. Are they disabled instead or am I missing something? I've tried just after I started a new game and during a game with no luck. All the up/down rockers in all the fields are grayed out and I can't change the fields manually either.

Just wondering.

Sorry about that, I pulled this minutes before we uploaded the release candidate. I had this on my list for today but the day was so crazy that I just had no time to make it right.

Next update will have an interface to at least edit basic data (Goals/Game, PIM/Game, ...).

I was just wondering if how the beta updates with be handled? Would we have to download a new version each time one comes out (and will it be compatible with our saved games) or is there something in the game that allows for file updates?

There will be a new download everytime a new version is released. The new version might or might not be compatible with the old saved version depending on what changes that are made. The optimal is to start a new game everytime you download a new version to eliminate weird bugs.

I can rename New York Islanders to Brooklyn Islanders but in Standings it still shows New York islanders.

I was hopping Money allowed in Trades,Buyouts in NHL,moving Teams around,adding Affliated Leagues to the NHL was turned on. Also added Load Save Game from Game Screen,release all Players to free-Agent or for Fantasy Draft,Turn on Photo's.

Maybe waiting for the new beta build which is due to be released today is the solution. We don't really know what the fixes are, but maybe something was done about the financials in the historical mode.

Totally agree, so many names from the old days from fhockey and ehm glory days. Glad to see that OOTP is taking the next step, and I am thrilled to be able to be a part of the ride.
